Last night I thought about a lot of stuff related to this, and while some of it was off the track, it actually lead me to a better answer, maybe something that would make everyone happier.
Being honest with myself, I realized I didn't want to level another job. In general, leveling is boring, and on top of that I would need to give money and storage space to armor and weapons, taking both away from crafting. As some/most people put in their comments "we're making this group for you, to spend time with you", it seemed silly to make a leveling party for me, when I don't even want to do it... Which lead me to my two thoughts on what we could do moving forward:
My first one was a "PG night" for me. You all pick a night you want to be on and chatting/social, and I'll be on the LS that night. But then I wondered if that would be boring and if you guys wouldn't want to be logged on just to chat, so then I considered my second idea:
How about we do non-leveling things once a week-ish? No commitment that we *have* to do it every week (so that if you need more time for doing other stuff, that's fine. And if I'm tired or otherwise busy, that'd be okay). Things like garrison, eco warrior, farming, random quest-type things?
(Sorry to Button, who did actually want to level her Dragoon.)

So tired, so tired. Why is it that the more tired I am, the less I sleep? I was dead tired last night, but when I went to bed I couldn't fall asleep, and then when I finally did I kept waking up every 15 minutes. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. I think I got maybe two hours sleep last night. Dead, dead, dead today.
Work is still kicking my ass, and will continue to do so for the next two months or so. Heck, who am I kidding, it's not like it'll get any better once the boss returns from her four monthvacation maternity leave. Bah.
(Hm, I had stuff to write about besides bitching-things, but now I can't remember what they were!)
Sorry if I missed commenting on anyone's LJ posts. I'm keeping up with my flist as best I can, but work is really taking more of my time than it usually does. *snugs to everyone!*
Oh heck. I wasn't going to put any FFXI stuff in this post, but I suppose I'll do it now instead of making another post later:
Sexy Alessar and buff Moriggan escorted me to and through the Altepa deserts to get that teleport crystal! Yay! Such big monsters there, eek! Such a pretty place though! <3 FFXI!
Earlier in the evening a sad thing happened: Lovely Beanie invited me to go on the Windy Eco Warrior thing, and though I had had other plans for the night, I decided to go and give Eco a try. I teleported to the Windy crag, grabbed a chocobo and ran into town. Found the NPC and... he refused to let me go. Turns out at some unknown point in time I accepted the Sandy Eco Warrior quest, so I couldn't go on the Windy one with all the CTY and FI people! *sniffle* I was sad and kicking myself at the same time. Now I need to get the Sandy one done so that I can go with CTY/FI people in the future. Bah.
Other than that, it was a quiet night. Rabao is such a beautiful place! If it were easier to get to, I would happily spend more time there.

And then about a leathercrafting apron or something and I thought "oh she's into leather! :D "and clicked and it was a screenshot. XD

Date: 2004-08-11 09:06 am (UTC)Rabao's not that hard to get to if you're a WHM with sneak. Just get a teleport Altep and sneak yourself. It's only about a 3 minute run from the telepoint. (I hope you bought the map... eep! I just realized, we shoulda made you get the map then taken you outside and talked you through pinning the locations. Oh well, go look it up somewhere online. ;)

Work is really busy, and MUSHClient pulls a portion of my attention even when nothing is happening on it, so I like to keep it closed when I need to do other stuff. Tomorrow is still your static day, right? Maybe we can figure it out on the LS, that might be easier.
