It's odd that it's December. It's a little chilly out when I leave the house at 7-something in the morning, but it feels more like September back east than it does December. I'm having a really hard time getting my head around the idea that it'll be Christmas in 23 days. I suppose I better do something about gifts...

I always hit Amazon (Toys R Us Online works through them) for my sister's family. She has two kids now, so I just send them a crapload of toys. Last Christmas was an easy gift-time for Sister and her husband, I just gave them a computer. I heard they don't have a DVD player, so maybe that'll be good (and I can probably get it from Amazon, too).

Mother-shopping (eh, shopping for things for her, not to purchase a new mother) will be more tricky. This year is her turn to get a computer (Dammit! I'm gonna get my rural, backwards family into the information age if I have to drag them kicking and screaming! :) ). She uses Sister's computer some, so hopefully she can handle her own. I want to get her lessons or something to go with it... However, I also need to get her a box of "little" gifts, so she has something to open under the tree. I ordered a couple online things, but for the rest I'm actually going to have to *gasp* go into stores and shop. I really hate shopping. Now that Cat is eating dry food again and so I don't have to buy chicken weekly, I'll go back to getting my groceries online again. I like online shopping.

You like online shopping because it minimizes human contact.
