If you've not seen it yet, S-E has posted the stuff in this month's update.

I've read the list twice now, and I'm sort of ... not exactly disappointed, but "meh" about it. I see nothing big related to me, and nothing big that'll hurt me. (And the XP chart just confuses me. People are talking about various ways of reading it, but to me it looks like the end number to reach 75 remains the same. Some people are saying it's the area under the line that counts, but...)

The "low level armor storing" thing is nearly useless for me. Can't store HQed stuff? Can't store signed stuff? Well, just about every set I use has at least one item that's one or the other...

I just read through the list again, and I'm really almost confused at how little there is that will impact me. Maybe one of the new items will be something I need? Maybe one of the new synthing/desynthing recipes? Who knows...

Oh, I guess you weren't online at the time I tried to finish the Ballista quest. I talked to the NPCs in various cities, and the last step was to go talk to the Sandy royality to tell them how loyal I'd be... but I can't get in to talk to them because I had alread accepted a mission. Till I do the first part of rank 6, I can't talk to the NPCs about Ballista. (I hope. I hope they'll talk to me about Ballista between the two missions of rank 6.) So I guess you'll have to wait to beat me up! ;)

The truth about the EXP graph.

The plot is your NEXT value (amount of EXP required to reach Level X+1) versus Level (X).

The area under the curve from the level range (X...Y) represents the EXP necessary to progress from 0 EXP at Level X to 0 EXP at Level Y. If you took the area under the entire curve from level 1 to level 75, the area would be the amount of EXP required to level from start to finish.

Lemme know if something doesn't make sense there. *is blahish at teaching xD*

Ehhh. *peers* That looks like some sort of math. Math and I don't get along, no matter what anyone has told you!

:P

But somewhat more seriously: If it's the area under the graph that counts, that's what's important. I can understand what they're trying to say if I know that. I don't know why the chart would make the "under the line" area important, but I don't want to know. That'd likely involve some sort of math.

And you're a fine teacher! I'm just a poor student when it comes to mathly things.

Thanks for the info!

The area under the level curve basically represents the addition of each EXP value associated with each level. For example, Level 51 takes 8000 while 52 takes 10500. The area under the curve from 51 to 52 is therefore 8000+10500=18500. That's called integrating, which is a branch of calculus. ^^
