I know I go through this every week, but: So tired, so tired. I really can't get to bed any earlier than I do (off computer by 11, lights off by midnight) because there's already so little of the evening when I get off at 11. But I have to get up too darned early for work! So: zzzzzz So tired.

The Admin characters have finally stopped showing up in my dreams every night. Oh, I wasn't dreaming about them every time, but the silly guys kept wandering through. Like one night I was dreaming about high school, and Toreth and Warrick were walking down a hallway, deep in conversation. I just stopped whatever I had been doing, watched them go by, then re-joined the dream's plot.

---

FFXI: Last night I watched a Ballista match (player vs player instead of the usual player vs game-run mob)! It was so so so exciting! No level cap, thus everyone was 70+. I must have watched them for a good 5 or 10 minutes! :) I took a ton of screenshots, but none came out too well.

From what I could see, it seems like DRKs must do really well in Ballista. (Sandy had 10 people, and at least 3 of them were DRKs.) Stun looked really handy. But on the Windy side there was a little Taru BLM who just totally owned everyone! *boom* Fireball! Everyone falls over dead! And a RNG had a funny macro (it was in /say which would usually be annoying, but it let me easier track what was going on so I didn't mind it much). "{Notice!} {death}! EES -> [name]". Every time he used the macro, the named person fell over dead! Hee!

One day I'm going to try it myself. I have no idea how to play, but I don't really care about scoring, I just want to try to fight other PCs!

FFXI/CoP: Since we're going to be doing the next mission (whatever the number is, 4-1? The one with the mob that flies and you need mistmelt to keep it down -- avoiding spoilers by not naming it), and since I can't go /THF for it, I'm pondering leveling WAR. It's 16 now, I wonder how far I could get it up in two weeks? I really, really hate the idea of random Dunes parties, but... Well okay, I hate the idea of random parties anywhere, but this would be necessary. I really don't have another good option for DRK sub for the mission. WHM is the only thing that wouldn't be gimped... /WHM is handy, but we'll have a ton of mages so it's not necessary.

On the plus side, leveling WAR would give me something to do, even if it might annoy me and not be too fun.

Decisions, decisions.

Well, you don't need to leave the thief sub behind so much as not Sneak Attack. :)

If you don't have another sub levelled that's not a problem.

True. There are good reasons for /THF besides SA... Yay!

I'm thinking of leveling my WAR up sometime, currently at 10. What's yours?

I'm also pondering leveling THF to 15 for treasure hunter, but not sure. So tired of leveling up jobs other than my RDM, and I /still/ have to level BLM to at least 25 or 30.

My WAR is 16, just barely.

TH is so very useful... but there's no rush to do it. You have plenty of time! Don't stress out trying to do everything at once. :)

My biggest problem right now is making Gil. See...I have a plan, I want to build up a large enough reserve of Gil that I can afford to raise a craft or two to about 50-60.

I figure I need to get up to a half million or so, and then I can devote the time and monies to leveling a couple crafts to a usable and money producing level. The problem is that getting that much money together is difficult. :)

Hence my interest in BCNMs; some three of the potential drops in the Creeping Doom thing are worth around a million gil each. Yes, I know that /rate/ of such drops is low, but it could happen and the Beastmen's Seals are just taking up slots in my MH.

Hello! This is Jennah. I promised a bit back that I'd update you sometime on livejournal since I don't always have my keyboard plugged into the PS2 when I see you on the game. Now I am doing so!

Actually, this is not so much an update as a compliment. I'm trying to get my leathercraft up for more efficient hunting, and . . . *man*.

I don't know about later levels, but the first 10 levels of leather are just unimaginably bad as first-10-levels go.

So I wanted to express my admiration for your taking it up so far.

In other news . . . not terribly much. Ranger 40, Nin 25, Red Mage 35, and working on subjobs so I can take the last to 41. Alchemy 77 and the key items on a mule---know anyone who wants cheap enchanted weapons?---but kind of flailing around on a suitable craft for my main. (Torn between smithing, which I feel like I want to do, and bonecrafting, which has been shockingly more fun than smithing in the early levels---oh, hey, it's funny to watch a Goblin Rush go off against me just as I use a Raging Axe against it!) Outside the game, mostly dealing with physical therapy this year; I can't remember if we ever talked about enough RL stuff that an update on anything else would matter.

Anyway, hi! And awe, again, at the leathercraft. I mean, seriously. (Although I hope you decide on a craft you like more to take to the top. ^_^)

Hi hi!

It only gets worse and worse. If I hadn't leveled leather first, there's no way in heck I'd do it now. So many other crafts are not just easier, but make tons more profit! Heck, leveling alchemy to 60 I made profit the whole time! Leather is insane, and I never recommend it to anyone.

So I wanted to express my admiration for your taking it up so far.

Thanks. :)

Alchemy 77 and the key items on a mule

That was a good idea, doing it on a mule. Sometimes I wish I had done that, too. And congrats! 77 is so high!

Good talking to you again! And congratulation on getting the Promy runs done! Enjoy the Safehold and all the storylines and missions there!

Thank you! I'm pretty low-level for most of the Safehold quests, but Russet helped me become a Tavnazian Squire. ^_^ And oh so much *pretty* in the zones. Plus lots of cutscenes!

I liked Promyvion a lot, which seems to be unusual. Creepy, interesting, and new, kind of like a minigame that, granted, costs gil and potentially xp. ^_^

I hope that I wind up having as much fun on the minotaur and later quests!

Yeah, a lot of the Safehold quests/missions need a multi-party group too, so they take some organizing. I had a really great time on the minotaur, so hopefully you will as well! It's located in a really "fun" area (high level mobs, lots of Promy-like dodging to do).

Agreed! I really want to go back in there some time! Maybe I'll farm in there a little one day...
