More bits and bobs and other little random bits

Some days I'm sad because I get no LJ comments. Some days (like yesterday and today) I get 7580457435072170421 more comments in the time it takes me to reply to one comment. :P

I got an hour of extra sleep last night, which while not making up for 3 hours of sleep the night before, was a good start. Also, because I missed dinner last night, I got an egg sandwich for breakfast, but now I feel like my belly is full of bricks and I can't move. *rolls out of chair and onto floor* Fuulllll.

Last night was highly exciting in FFXI-land, I just wish I had some screenshots of the night. I turned off my usual screenshot program so I could run the video-taking program (Fraps), and I forgot that that moves the 'dude! take a screenshot!' key so I kept hitting the old key.

Niala took this one screenshot of the dragon we battled last night! Unfortunately you can't see how big it is compared to us. When standing next to its leg, my head just came up to its belly/side! So a hume is about as tall as its leg!

It was quite a battle. I was sort of just in my own little "zone", doing my own thing. I casted a surprising number of spells (usually I just beat things to death). From my POV it wasn't a bad fight, but other roles (mages, and especially our Ni-kitty tank) it was rough. Watching the video today, I can't believe how much damage Niala had to eat.

But yay! We're done with CoP 4-2 now! Woo! Yay us! We have a couple little fights that need doing, then we can do the biiiiig next fight! Chapter 5's three-promys-at-once battle! Oh, I can't wait for that one! Promy Holla's boss, Promy Mea's boss, and Promy Dem's boss all in one fight! Eeeeeee!

For last night's fight we were way overprepared (I brought in 29 hi-potions, used... 1), but for the Promy-V-whatever (three-in-one) I think it'll be impossible to be overprepared. Eee, and I can't wait!

Arg! *rolls around in agony* It's cast, not casted. Casted is not a word. :) It's one of those funny ones that doesn't change much. 'I cast a spell. I will cast a spell. I'm casting!' That's about it. :)

Sorry, not sure why that bugs me. I don't even bat an eye at some other words that get used wrong. *scratches head*

Anyway! Yeah.. o.o I never realized that after we first slept the dragon it woke up immediately. Poor Ni! ;o; We mages were all trying to regen mp and missed it. All in all though we kicked ass even with that. Ni went down, but we kept our heads and finished the fight. And wow, Ni was brave going in there weakened and provoking that thing all over again. o.o

From here on out it looks like we farm fomor for keys, then clear fomor hate before the nm fight. Something to be done over multiple days to be sure.

Yay formor-killing! I can't wait! Promy-V-whatever is going to be crazy. I can't wait to do that, too!

Hopefully we'll be caught up to you guys by the time you do Promy-Vahzl. If Nyiri has her way, we're getting Yosa, Q and Zubis Diablos this Saturday and maybe Ouryu next week. =)

*laughs* Not really pain. It's like 'a lot' in that it makes me twitchy. 'Alot' is what people think it is, but actually they are wrong. I really just dunno why it bugs me. :) I think I even caught PoMR using it the other day. *prods him* (Never mind I'm hardly a grammar/speling nazi with how often I mispell and stuff. c.c;)

Yeah, the next step is one of those 'We don't give you any help, so there, a dungeon! Go figure it out on your own!' quests they love to give. c.c

I was reading up on it. You have to kill Fomor for keys (Two for the whole party at least.), get to the next area, kill all the mobs in the tunnels nearest where the NM is, then kill the NM. You don't and it summons 12 mobs to come help it. Luckily they are all weak and we can slaughter them easily.
Or, I was reading it wrong, and we kill fomor for one key, kill little mobs, kill nm for next key, get to next area (After clearing fomor hate as this place is PACKED with fomor. Supposedly best panty drop rate area though.) and kill another nm. :P

I'd really, really suggest the Freeze+Sleep idea. Poor Ni.. and Lin from what I hear. That thing has double attack at the least, and perma haste. @.@ It just didn't seem to pause in smacking Ni around. Once we started sleeping it things got oodles easier.

Is the perma-hasted part official? Because it sure seemed that way. That darned thing was fast. (I hadn't noticed at the time, standing behind it, but watching the video you can see how fast Ni got hit.)

When I read it, I understood it to be the first way. Fomor = 2 keys, go clear hate, then do the next NM.

I'm only guessing on the hasted part, but damn.. it had double attack from what I saw (Could be wrong, but damn it looked that way to me.), and either it has haste, or its attacks are 100 something delay. c.c It was hitting me for 250. @.@ Thankfully Ead killed it before it could get in another smack and kill me.

Ah, speaking of that, darned my screenshots not being saved. Ead had the funniest line near the end of the battle, after I had said I thought it was easy. Something like 'Well, you weren't the one taking a pounding from behind'. Wish I had been able to snag that, it would have made great blackmail material. :D
