Quickie post (FFXI)

Mostly a screenshot dump.

Eco and Escort were uneventful, other than my XP rewards this week sucked. (But usually I get better than average, so I can't complain.) After Escort I went to do the last cutscene to get Sky. I made it through Ro'M-whatever all by myself! Amazingly I didn't get lost once (the marked map helped a lot). Sky was somewhat... meh. I'm spoiled by CoP areas.

SPOILER ALERT: All screenshots marked with a * contain ZM spoilers. Look at them at your own risk. The "spoilers" could be as basic as how Sky looks, but better safe than sorry.

* This is Sky, it's very... green. The thing that amused me most is that the mobs floating around are called Sprinklers. With all that moss and stuff, they need them! As amazingly beautiful as the CoP areas are, I was just not impressed by Sky. But hey, it'll be useful for XPing, so.

Well, okay, there was one part of Sky (or is it not really Sky?) that I loved: * the funky floor that lights up when you step on it! I ran around in there way more than in the outside parts of Sky. :D (Those colored parts were my "footprints", they fade quickly.)

I really enjoyed seeing Hall of the Gods again, too. I hadn't had a chance to look it over since Fye's wedding. Look! I'm every goth girl's dream! Or maybe that's how I'd look when I'm dead. (I couldn't exactly get white ones, could I?)

For mirramithra: I took four screenshots, but these are the only two which came out okay. * One and * two (both of those contain ZM spoilers, the guy you fight in one of the battles).

While I had wanted to go XPing tomorrow, my money situation really doesn't allow for that. :( I unpacked my Xp bag, stuck all my armor into my safe, and packed up for mining. I wish I could mine at something other than the busiest times on the server, but what can you do. (Other than quit my job or not sleep or something...)

I went to the Meadows before I got to Sky, so I was a bit disappointed with it as well. If I'd gone to Sky first I'd've probably been much more impressed. On the other paw, it's cool to see how they've improved the areas as time progresses. Meadows is just jaw dropping. I can't wait to see what they do with TAU :)

Agreed on all of that. If I hadn't seen the CoP areas, I probably would have been a lot more impressed with Sky. (I kept thinking "This is nice, but the Riverne Site A/B did the whole 'floating land thing' so much better...".)

Could you imagine if TAU is as much better than CoP as CoP is better than ZM? We'll probably all end up dead of beauty! :P

Oh oh! Those golems are love and so few people go there for some reason o.O They all insist on cramming into Ulli-camp when there's a whole 'nother area of golems and lovely dark elementals to smash for some pocket lining gil *_* (10k/cluster ftw!)
