Nightly FFXI stuff... and RL stuff, too!

thistlechaserOkay, okay, who failed to send me the memo that Thai food is hot? Thinking it must be like Chinese food, I had some tonight. "Some" being a mouthful. Then my tongue, gums, nose, and other assorted parts of my face caught fire and fled for their lives. Quite a shame because it smelled good. Like Chinese food. Darned lying Thai food.
Eh, thought I had more RL stuff than that, but I guess we'll move on to the FFXI portion of this post.
Spent three and a half hours trying to get a party (bringing my grand total up to 21.5 RL hours spent standing there, waiting for a party invite. Insane, no?), then actually got an invite! Amazing! (Ha ha, I had been the only one seeking a party for the last 30 minutes, so they had no choice but to ask me!)
Alas I had just barely called out my fellowship NPC, so I had to dismiss him after one kill. But he's a toy and XP is important, so I didn't mind at all. XP wasn't what some people would consider good (we made 6K, with the XP ring, in three hours), but man, any XP is good XP to me!
I'm @10K TNL. I'd like to think I could get that in one party, but it's more likely to take two. Or maybe one party + Eco, Escort, and the solo ENM BC event.
The great thing of the night:
Rarrr! I broke 1K damage on an XP mob! Not just once, not just twice, but often! RARRRR! (And that's just with SA, no Souleater or Last Resort or anything else.) Oh and I stole two gold beastcoins, which always makes me a happy little DRK.
