Quickie FFXI and RL post
Jan. 12th, 2006 09:13 amLots of new screenshots from the upcoming expansion pack have been posted: http://www.livejournal.com/community/finalfantasy11/2592425.html *drool* So pretty! I just hope the quests/whatever to get access won't be too annoying.
I've decided to re-buy a Balmung, and I'm currently camping the AH. Unfortunately I sold mine for 4,100,000 and the one that sold since then was for 4,500,000 so I'm likely going to have to pay a large stupidity tax. :( But it'll be worth it! I can't believe how embarrassing last night was. (Not to mention my SC partner was a SAM and the WHM never hasted me. So annoying when I can't keep up with TP!)
RL: Though I'm still sleeping like crap (my cat won't sleep on the bed anymore, apparently I'm kicking her in the night and knocking her off and such), but a big problem at work (bad customer) is finally almost gone, and it feels like all my stress is gone with him.
Lost: Last night was probably my favorite ep in a long, long time, probably my favorite since Locke's backstory. Eko rocks my socks!

Maybe opposites do attract... hehe

Date: 2006-01-12 06:57 pm (UTC)There is a religious aspect to Eko, but that's not what draws my attention. It's the strength in him, and that even in a bad situation he can and does use it to do the right thing. (How many kids do you know who could step up like that and kill someone to save their brother?)

There are a lot of reasons while I like Locke, but because he's faith-based isn't exactly one of them. I like him because he's tragic, and at this point because he's just so bat-poop insane with all this faith stuff. I like him because he's doomed. (I bet you he's going to end up dead before they leave the island, likely by his own choice.)
Maybe opposites do attract... hehe
Faith-backed stuff can be interesting to observe, but it's because these characters are so complex that they're so attention-catching for me. Locke and Eko, who's more complex than them? Michael, Sawyer, what's-her-name woman police cop person? They seem so one-dimensional compared to them.
