Arrg ...or 'Arrr'? (FFXI)

Another new FFXI job is out. A "pirate" (called Corsair, but it has a pirate hat and apparently is like the gambler job, whatever the heck that is). Small image, thread with more info.

I have to tell you, I would have been much happier about this job (and Blue Mage) months ago, before I took up RDM. Corsair is going to be a support job, which means it will take invites from RDM. :/ And of course it will be the newest thing, so everyone will want it -- want to play it or want to party with it.

Must get RDM to 75 before expansion pack comes out. Ha ha. :/

Q: Can you go to new areas immediately? Even as a low level?
A: There will be requirements to going to new areas. They are geared at high level jobs.

It's going to be like CoP all over again. *sob*

Since it already exists in the game (there's a NPC Necromancer in the Mannequin storyline) this is the job I'd be the least surprised to see.

And other than the hat, the pirate AF looks darned silly.

Pink is bad, yeah. But I don't like the whole "shirt", it's too frilly and silly. I guess it looks sort of, kind of okay on a mithra, but on that poor elf?
