Potato and FFXI

Thanks to everyone for their comments! I baked a potato tonight and amazingly it came out perfectly! I don't think I've ever cooked something not from a box that came out well, but it was perfect! So yummy and steamy and just like a real baked potato! And I have one more to cook, too. Mmmm.

FFXI: Zzzzz. A somewhat productive but mucho annoying night able to be summed up by two small screenshots:





The best surprise of the night: He showed up for XPing not looking just "okay" or "not bad", but great! Hot! Wow, so happy he finally looks nice! :) (FFXI: one big game of 'dress up'.) You can't see his lower body in the shot, but he's wearing "normal" pants and nice boots/gloves! (Text blurred to keep from spoiling anyone.)

So anyway, he dinged 50 and I ran off to do G1. To anyone who has to do the quest, if you want to follow an online guide, follow the Bastok path! Do yourself a big favor! I followed the Windy path, but the majority of the online guides mix Bastok info in with the Windy info... I spent an hour and a half needlessly going to Bastok, Selbina, and Windy multiple times until I found one single correct guide: Mysterytour. (Koolaid LS, Somepage, and (ha ha ha) Alla all had the info wrong in their guides.) The waste of time was so very annoying because on weeknights my online time is very limited.

I didn't get to XP NIN at all today, because the whole night was spent XPing Gunnar and doing that quest. :(

After finishing G1, the next quest was available to me! (The one where you have to go to three places to get key items, and have to have your NPC out each time. So yay, three days of not XPing him! That'll give me some time for NIN.)

Also, I had wanted to do the quest that leads into the new expansion pack areas, but I didn't have a second of free time to even start it.

I'm just a few days from my second anniversary of playing this game, and there's still so much more I want to do than I have time for. It amazes me. :)

Yeah, I tend to look at MT for quest details. Even if the engrish can make things confusing, they tend to have top notch info.

Think of cooking as more alchemy than magic. Use the oven just the right way and that potato turns to gold~ well golden brown at least >,>

Yeah, I did think of that. Problem is, I used it up already. (I've been making a whole day of it: Sunday morning quest for it, then use all of its charges and the main pearl's charge all in one day. Nice and relaxing!) :P
