Long day (FFXI)

What a long day. Was online at about 9:30 AM, started seeking on WAR. Got an invite even before I got to the Dunes. I was about halfway into level 19. Five parties, seven hours, and a location change later, and I was WAR 21 with barely a buffer. Seven hours (yeah, all in parties. I don't think I spent 15 minutes seeking all day) to get just over 8K XP. Now that's rough.

The multiple parties featured such things as a WHM/WAR, a NIN who not only refused to tank but eventually stopped fighting and just wanted to sit on the sidelines and get XP while we killed (but hey! He had seven "maxed out" characters, so us "prats" better not argue with him!), and another person (THF this time) who admitted to never having played his job because he had always been PLed. *sigh* This wonder of a THF, when asked to pull, said someone else had to because:



Eventually the stupid got so thick that it was actually funny. He did this in my second party with him (a worm party this time). He ran up and:



Eventually I gave up and went off and did Escort with Draque, Ead, and Woman. Got 1454 XP, which is pretty darned good! That left me @1500 to DRK75.

After that we went and got a NIN test for Desant, and he kicked Maat's ass! Yay! I'm so happy when people succeed at that! :D

Then I went out to join Beanie and Nif to skill up/XP NPCs on raptors in U-whatever Range. Other than a mishap on my way there (&$&^#&&$ stupid bomb was behind a tree covered with snow. I looked around before re-casting invisible but of course couldn't see it!), it went well. 11 levels on sword and 600 XP for me! I'm @850 to DRK75! Yay! And Gunnar hit 61, too! Just four more levels till he's all done. :)

Not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow. I "should" XP RDM, but I really, really balk at the word "should" when it is applied to a game. I could farm, but I don't need money. There aren't any quests I want to do. That mostly leaves XPing. Maybe I'll think of something else tomorrow.

Yay for Des! I didn't realize he'd won when I saw him yesterday; I'll have to remember to congratulate him tonight.

In addition to all those things I said in a previous post, my NIN is at 20 and my MNK and RDM are at 25, if you need someone. Although I'm not on so much anymore, so you'll probably get high enough that you won't need me. ^_~ My NIN gear is also slightly gimp, but I think the fact that I'm competent probably makes up for it. ;p

And yeah, I hate the feeling of "I *should* level this." It puts pressure on me and makes it less fun. Luckily right now I don't have any hard deadlines, although I keep wanting to level PLD and not being able to find the time for it.

I was gonna say that the fact that he's named Crabs totally explains everything, but he's also in lolPV?

I was never "lucky" enough to see the crazy party configs like WHM/WAR, or NIN... then again, in my current state if I were to see any of them in a party, I would rip them apart, obscenities and all :/
