LJ is full of odd and interesting things today.

I can't explain this, and I don't even want to try. (Work safe.)

I have no idea why these Russian boys are naked, but I could probably come up with an explanation as to why~. (NOT work safe, bare manbutts.)

mmmbento is a great blog in the same way that the Vegan Lunchbox blog is. It's amazing how much time these people will put into their lunches, but happily they take photos of all their work and post them on the net!

I would really, really like to know why some of my customers at work insist upon speaking German to me. Yes, my name (both first and last) are about as German as you can get, but that doesn't mean I can speak the language! I hate having to fumble around on the phone and grasp for my last memories of high school German class or hit up Altavista's bablefish translator so I can make some reply in my email. Sheesh, people. If I were black, would you ask me what Africa was like? I know they're not doing it on purpose, that it's only for positive reasons, but sheesh! Ich spreche nicht Deutsches! (Ha ha, thanks babelfish.)

People (mostly non-Indian people) always walk up to me and mispronounce Hindi words at me. Not only do I not speak Hindi, but neither do my parents who came over from India in the 1970's (they speak Tamil). I also get customers at work who hear my name and start babbling at me in Spanish, which I also don't speak because high school was a *really* long time ago.

Oh drat! It was a very odd thing, something like a camp room or a college dorm (had a metal bunk bed in it), and maybe thirty young men all totally naked and standing around another guy. Didn't seem sexual, but was highly odd and somewhat amusing/disturbing.

Maybe I'll rehost these on Catlove next time...
