Oops, still have some Dunes stuck on me. *brushes it off* Oh what a happy day spent there. Two LS folks and myself joined up with a pre-made "party" of randoms. There were five when I joined: two WHMs and almost no DDs. The one RNG and one other person left to make room for my folks, which nearly wiped out our DD power. We were getting ~60 per multi-minute minute kill (with band), and the two random WHMs kept saying "lol perfect party lol" and "lol this so good lol". I was tempted to stab them with my harp, then I cried at just how manly of an image that would be.
Three and a half hours spent partying for 2.5K XP. I'd say "worst XP ever" but just the other day I got negative XP for hours spent in the Dunes. Why, why, why, why won't enough people go to Korr Tunnel and party there?
Amusingly: We three trioed for a half hour after the party and made an easy 1K XP.
Ah well. Besieged after that (only level 2, easy as pie. Got the max 300 XP/IS). Then farmed/crafted till my fingers bled (or at least turned numb). Ended up with 10 sets of powder boots to sell. Yay.
Then somehow another Besieged was ready! First thing I knew, they were advancing! Unfortunately I was in the middle of cooking dinner, but warped there anyway. Finished cooking and eating dinner, and somehow didn't die. (Level 3, got the max 400 IP/XP.) Even though there were 550 people in the zone, we nearly lost the Candysense again. o.O In the first 60 seconds of the event, two generals died! And a third right after! Sheesh.
Now I was about to log out to go to bed, but another Besieged is preparing. :/ I'm tired and should just log out, but the numbers had been rising fast. (Now they've slowed down, blah.) Could be another hour or more till it hits. :/ I'm less than 10K to totally capping DRK XP, so I kind of want to catch all the Besiegeds I can. Bah.
Edid: Hour later and they're at 119, just about to hit level 2. zzz I said I'd never stay up late for a Besieged again. I'm stupid. But now I've waited a whole hour and if I went to bed it'd be a waste, but it could be another hour or more till they attack. Mumble. Please attack soon, I'm tired.
Edit: Hour later and hit level 3. Not attacking. Stupid slacker beastmen. zzzz Watching a movie. If they don't attack by the time it ends, I'll go to bed. Maybe. (See also: pigs, flying.)
Edit, final: They're moving, yay. Nearly 3 hours after bedtime. However, to entertain myself, I went to the AH and added up the total cost of all my DRK armor I wear every day (not counted anything stored, no weapon included, no "show pieces" like my T Sting thingie, and O-Hat has no price so isn't included). Last sale price used). 33,430,000 gil. So I'm walking around wearing 33.5 million worth of stuff. I bet I easily have another 15M of stuff saved for capped events, too. If I ever quit DRK and sold all my stuff, I'd be one rich (and tired) player. zzzzz
Edit, or not!: Half-hour since they moved, and they still haven't attacked. *&%&$)!&% Stupid, stupid me should have gone to bed. 650 people in the zone, too. If POL crashes...
Real final edit: 4 hours after bedtime, all finished. Amazingly didn't DC, though R0ed a number of times. Got the full 600 XP/IS. If I ever, ever do something this stupid again, I hope someone unplugs my computer and sends me to bed. I suck at being a responsible adult. (I sure do love Besieged though. So much fun. :D )

I think you'll find that stabbing people with a wind instrument is much more satisfying ;) For an added bonus, you can jam your flutes down their windpipes :D

I keep meaning to try that, but I'm lazy and it's easier just to sit and wait. :P
