Throwing the night away (RL, FFXI)

RL: Been a really rough week. I'm having some sort of sinus thing going on (infection? worse allergies than usual?), and every time I lay down my throat gets all clogged up and I can't breathe -- feels like I'm choking. This of course makes sleeping hard. I've gotten three hours or so of very broken sleep each night for the past four or five nights. Blah. I might have to go to the doctor at this rate. :/

But good news as well! I've finally gotten back to exercising. Stopped a month (two?) ago, which is bad bad bad. This time I'm doing it at night instead of in the morning, and that seems to be working out well. When I did it in the morning, I kept wanting to cut it short because I felt like I should get to work. When I do it at night, I just lose gametime, which isn't a big deal since lately I haven't really wanted to do much at all. Plus at night there's a lot more interesting stuff to watch on TV, which keeps me distracted.

I'm loving this new miniseries on TNT, Stephen King's Nightmares and Dreamscapes. 45 minutes into the show, and zero dialogue! How cool is that?


FFXI: Due to lack of energy to do anything at all, I decided to go out skilling. I took my nifty new Rogetsurin and went to throw it at mobs. Got over 40 throwing levels, yay! Too bad it was boring as heck. Eventually I got bored enough to melee hand-to-hand as I threw it, to skill that as well. Got 40 levels of h2h in about a halfhour, when it took me nearly three hours to ger 40 levels of throwing. x.x

Doesn't the Rogetsurin (Haty drop) look cool? Don't mind my armor (yes, those are leather gloves c.c ), I grabbed whatever was in my safe since I knew the mobs wouldn't be able to hurt me.

No clue what I'm going to do tomorrow night or for the rest of the week. Luckily next week is more planned: Saturday and Tuesday XPing, Thursday Diabolos, and Friday skull hunting. Hopefully I can grab some people to go get an Ancient Salt at some point as well, since that's the last non-buyable item I need for the crown.

*finds his list* I need Sands of Silence (I think that sells on AH cheap.), Giant Fish bones (I can solo these mobs.), Wyvern skull, and Ancient Salt (I think that sells on AH cheap too.). The work bench and broken rod I can make. 9.9; Just haven't bothered buying the little stuff since I didn't have the skull.

Damn it! >.< Well, thank you for offering to help! Isn't there a spot in Quicksands with only worms? That spot where we fought the Zig magic pot mission? You drop down into an area with loads of sand and a couple worms? I figure that might be easiest.

There are a couple things I need (bench, rod) that I can make/break myself, and a couple things that are buy-able (sands). All those other things you listed (bulb, toad, egg) I have as well.

Yay! So let's get the salt sometime after the skull? Des probably needs it, too.

I think there were some ants as well, though they weren't aggro to us last time we were there? I think? I do remember that we dropped down somewhere, and it was in a room off at the end of a hallway.

We could find a map before we go! :D

Sounds good to me! I got the sands, and giant fish bones today, so now I need the skull and salt. Got everything else. :)

I seem to remember the mobs in there being DC. It's in the highest level area of Quicksands. The mob is level 62-65, aggro, and there are only four spawns according to Somepage. >.< So, we are definatly going to need to party for it, and the mobs around it will be aggro too.
