thistlechaserNot a great day. Was 100 degrees here, and even with my AC running since yesterday afternoon, my apartment got into the 80s. It's now 10:30 PM, and it's still 85 outside. While I'm feeling totally miserable, I can't imagine what people with no AC are doing.
Probably related to that, I slept poorly last night. After going to bed two hours late, I still woke up the normal workday time. >< Was tired all day, on top of the heat.
FFXI wasn't great. Or rather, after such a long and late day yesterday, I wasn't really in the mood for it. Everything was good and I should have been able to enjoy it, but mentally I was in the wrong place. BRD static rocked socks (almost to 36! Nearly three levels in four hours!), and it looks like we're going to be staying together for a while. Dani wants to take WHM to 75, and I assume Nai wants to take NIN to 75 as well, plus Draque (second NIN now) is going to switch to SAM until at least AF levels, so how great of a party core is that? NIN, WHM, BRD, SAM? Just grab a couple random DDs each time. And with us meeting twice a week, we're moving fast! Quite nice.
After that we went eye-farming so some LS people could work on getting o-hats. Spent five or six hours on that. It worked out surprisingly well for me: I was going there just to help, I didn't need any eyes and have my hat already. I walked away with two BRD scrolls (yay!), 30 levels on dagger (woo!), and a very belated map of SSG. (I can't believe I've spent so long without the map when it's so easy to get!)
