Long day, long night (Lost, FFX)

Lost: I've gone from not being into the show anymore to being annoyed by it.

What the heck is wrong with you, Locke? The world stomps on you, and you respond with 'please, sir, may I have another!'. You appear to never learn.

And the whole 'smoke lodge while using drugs'? I was rolling my eyes the whole time. Totally didn't work for me. I was muttering 'stupid, stupid, this is so stupid' the whole time.



Next week looks like an even worse ep. Back to Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. Maybe I won't even bother turning it on.

Is anyone watching The Nine? Is it any good? I've not seen the first eps, so I don't want to try to jump in now.

FFXI: Blarg. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I was too exhausted to do anything on-game. (How can you be too tired to play a game?) Did my turn-in (42K/150K), went chocobo digging (meh), and camped the guild some.

My chocobo isn't even an adult yet, but he now cares about weather! Three walks in a row it rained, and now he "likes clear weather". He doesn't dislike any weather.

I saw the first episode of the Nine. While it was an entertaining premise in theory (two burglers bumble a bank heist, hold people in bank for 52 hours, police save nine people, survivors bond with each other), it was kind of boring and cliche. I ended up dropping later episodes in favor of the series finale of Project Runway 3.

I am enjoying TheNine a lot. I think it is very reminiscent of 1st season LOST. In the first episode you see a bank robbery start to go awry... cut to commercial... come back 52 hours later and the "crisis" is ending. What happened inside the bank? Who are these people? Why are they begging the police to NOT hurt one of the robbers? Spend the next episodes finding out secrets and backstory, flashbacks and real time. I think it's great!

My choco likes clear weather now, too, but doesn't mind any kind of weather. I'm wondering if it's really a change in my chocobo, or one of the text updates SE made (like using JungleGroove's name more and saying he munches "discontentedly," instead of "weakly," when I give him food when he's bored).

I think it's one of the text updates. It happened to mine yesterday, too, along with his suddenly acquiring an "easygoing" personality.
