Productive, at least (FFXI)

thistlechaserYesterday I did nothing other than wait for a Besieged. Sat around for 6? 7? hours waiting for a level 1. Was fine, I watched TV, didn't feel like doing much else.
Not wanting to have today turn into the same thing, I muled all my RNG stuff over. Soloed from 28 to 29. It still boggles me how easy soloing RNG is. ~6K XP and I never rested even once. Hell, my HP only got into the yellow 2-3 times, and I still wasn't using shadows the majority of the time. On DC+ mobs at that level.
Is that broken or what?
Only downside was the zone and the people. Qufim Island was anything but relaxing. Undead and gigas wanting to eat me, PLed parties camping on top of me. One idiot "soloing" with two PLs kept taking my mobs. I got my XP though, and that's what counts. About 2K/hour, which really isn't bad for soloing that level.
I'll probably solo once more (to 30), then... we'll see. Either party or solo more or sit on the job and toss scrolls at it. Only three charges left on my anniversary ring. :/ All charges have been used on RNG.
Also on the list to do: Skill marksmanship on DRK. It's really wonderful to have it capped on COR, and while it'll be capped until 47 or so, I'd like to stay ahead of it if possible. I'm going to go shoot the Glacier Eaters (worms) in Uleguerand Range. Hopefully the same theory that makes RNG soloing work will work for DRK: /NIN, spam bloody and sleep bolts as needed.
There's a Besieged building now, but I seriously doubt I'll be staying for it (shocking I know). But it's late, I'm tired, and they're growing really, really slowly. While tomorrow is Friday so I could stay up if I really wanted, I'm finally sleeping better and so I don't want to mess that up.
I made a COR icon last night *points* and while it's not exactly what I intended, it gets the point across. I was thinking just the hat would look cool (sexyhat!), I couldn't make it work. Man, I can't wait to get my AF!
