Two posts in one day! (FFXI)

thistlechaserFor those who haven't seen the link elsewhere, the new Wings of the Goddess expansion pack trailer.
While I'm excited and bouncy about it, none of the trailers or screenshots have caught me the way ToAU's had. I've always hated people on message boards using "I came" as a response to something they liked, but that would fit the thrill that ToAU trailers gave me. A new city! An amazing, exotic looking place! Beautiful! And monsters attacking it! Music that made my heart race! The idea of time travel is cool and all, but I really don't think any expansion will ever be able to top ToAU for me.
Add onto that my fear that this new expansion (or one after it) will be CoP-ish, and my joy gets really mellowed out. On one hand, I know it's silly to worry -- if SE thought CoP was spiffy and perfect, they'd not be still changing it. So if they know how flawed it is, why would they duplicate it? But still, I worry. Endless capped zones? Having to jump through major hoops for the smallest bit of progress? No thanks.
Hopefully the new (old, whatever) zones in Wings won't be CoPish to get access to. And it's strange, as much as I love FFXI, to have such a big black mark shadowing all new things. How many expansions will it take before I lose my 'I hope it's not CoPish' worry? Well, as I said last time I talked about this (the last Wings trailer~), if worse comes to worst and Wings is horrible, I can just sit in my MH in Al Zahbi and wait for Besieged! :D
Edit: It's funny, but watching the ToAU trailer gets way more of a grin and an 'eeee!' than the Wings one gets. Even after all this time, I love the new city so much. So beautiful! And Besieged! And Assaults! And new jobs! And new armor! <3 <3 <3 ToAU!
