tersa and her housemate there, yay! :) Ate all my strawberries already (only bought one container instead of three since three usually turns out to be too many... but wanted more after the one! :P ) and had yummy corn on the cob for dinner.

FFXI: Blarg. Rough weekend money-wise and doing stuff-wise. Chaser is at gold 83 and can get the MH item at 88, and it requires light energy. Best way to get light? Mannequins. (Which is ironic, since they killed Thistle's guild item -- that needed ice energy and I couldn't overpower the light.) If only mannequins were transferable! Gah. Thistle can't even display all of his. :/
So Saturday I ran her through the quest, then spent five hours shouting and checking bazaars for the parts. Blarg. Not only was that boring as hell, I'm not exactly in a position where I can spend cash on silly "luxury" stuff right now. It's sort of not luxury, since I'll need it for the +3 to goldsmithing, but... 660K for all the parts hurt, and she'll need a few more (250K a piece). Yeah, 660K is down a lot (paid almost that for one piece on Thistle's set), but still hurt.
While it's annoying to be in a 'money's tight' position, I keep telling myself at least it's only on the game and not RL. That works, a little. :P I have so many fricking elemental beads to sell off. Once they sell, I'm going to tie up less of my money in them... the way it was supposed to be. Buy a few, synth a few, sell a few, don't buy more until they sell.
That's about the whole of my weekend, getting her set up with a mannequin. Oh, well, today I did a good thing and got my fang key so I'll be ready once COR hits 50! (Need two keys for two more trips to the ???, so I need to grab one ahead of time.) At the end of Sunday night helped Nai kill her Savage Blade WSNM.
While Chaser was running around on Saturday, she got Jaggedy-Eared Jack. No drop, unfortunately.
This amused me -- not so rare, are they!
