Dear Santa,

I've been a very good boy this year, so I would like the following items:

Blue Hobby Bo -- Chocobo rocking horses! Eee!

Blackhorn -- Black horns, perfect for the up and coming DRK! (And how cool of a name is Pankration for the Pit thing?)

Imperial Standard -- Must Have Flags!

Steel bullets! All of them! (Though why are the pouches ex when the bullets aren't? o.O )Also, please let me know the crafting requirements of them.

Love,
Thistle

In other update notes, a couple things have me unhappy/worried:

1) They're making glasses for everyone, not just crafters anymore. Looks like three kinds of glasses (fancy, dandy, redeye). Sorry to non-crafters who always wanted glasses, but that really annoys me. Glasses had been something special you had to work at crafting to get. :/

2) Platinum grips. Apparently they'll be crafted, since there's a +1 version of them. The timing of this is highly amusing: Chaser is about to never have to touch a gold ingot for GS leveling ever again! ...but she'll be moving on to using only platinum. c.c Know what's going to happen to ingot prices? Bah...

Oh well, point #2 might add to my reasons to pause goldsmithing on Chaser and put all my efforts to smithing on Fishingbot. (Assuming steel bullets are smithing, which makes sense.) I hadn't wanted to do smithing yet (gah, not another craft using fire crystals! Please!), but I need to be able to make my own bullets.

Can't wait for The Pit! Gotta catch 'em all!

On the plus side, you can probably HQ some of the lower grips and sell them for exorbitant prices until the market stabilizes. ^_~

I must be the worst crafter on the game, but I can't do that. I hate the very idea of doing that. It's wrong and bad and mean (IMO). :/ It feels like I'm cheating people, even if they're willingly being cheated.

Just means you're a decent person. ^^

I'm kind of overwhelmed by all the new stuff. Before the update, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted for DRG. Now, there's all sorts of things that might be cool. I'll have to see where some of the new straps come from.

Am not! You take that back! *fistshakes*

:)

If I can make anything for you, let me know!

Make me. ;p

And thanks. ^^ All of the crafted grips look like goldsmithing, so once people find out the recipes, I may gather some ingredients and send them your way.

Sounds good! There's one that's probably leather though (lizard/raptor).

Gods...and I need platinum beastcoins to skill up with on Bleys. They were hard enough to get before...

I'm just going to sit tight for a while. At least grips aren't one-time use, so once people have them, they won't keep needing them.

Such sucky timing though. :/

Don't feel too bad. I'm currently trying to skill on raptor skins....

The leather ones seem to be the more mage-oriented ones.

It looks like the goldsmithing ones also require the Chainwork key item that you get from GP turn-ins.

Yeah, and Chaser doesn't have that key item. :/ Beanie does though, she was making the lower ones (mythril) last night.

So what you're saying is Platinum is about to be a highly prized commodity?

Looks like it is time to make a boatload of icarus wings, get my Alchemy skill to 93, and start making panacea (and platinum nuggets). Then work out a deal to make ingots and such.

In about a week or so, Thistle, I believe I'll have a use for as many philosopher stones as can be found.

I am thinking that prices of platinum ingots should stablize after a week or so. The mythril grip is probably better than the platinum grip, anyway. I think you lose one point of accuracy and gain one point of STR instead? I doubt the Stun additional effect would kick in very often. :/

Steel bullets should be alchemy. All the other bullets are alchemy, I think.

Yeah, it turns out mythril is through the roof, plat not so much. (Yay!)

And yeah, I always always get bullets mixed up! Seems like they should be smithing main, since they're made of metal and all. :P But luckily I can make them on Thistle, so it's all good!

That was my guess, but I turn out to be wrong! Mythril is where it's at. :) Thanks though!
