I just took out and threw away my contacts. They're disposable, but they're supposed to be used two weeks before tossing them; I wore these four days.

Why? Because I cried on Monday. Does this happen to anyone else? If I cry with my contacts in, they're like /torture/ for weeks after. Even with a super-duper weekly cleaning, even with daily scrubbing, they feel seriously dry and they're cloudy to look through. Very uncomfortable, they make my eyes very tired and hurting.

I'm guessing that the extra tears put more oils? or something? on them, and so gas and liquids can't get through them like they should, but that's just a guess. I've worn contacts for 15 years now, and it's always been like this no matter what brand I get. (Always soft contacts though.)

I wear contacts, and haven't had that problem. But there are chemicals in tears different than the normal, for lack of a better word, moisture in your eyes. And I *have* had problems sometimes with my contacts, for a while at least, seeming to absorb stuff and bothering me for a day or two.

It may be that you're sensitive to the tear chemicals.
