Can't sleep, so it's post time!

I've been wanting to post about My Life As A Pup for a while now, but I've always gotten distracted by something else. (Link will take you to the last page, the beginning/earliest posts of his blog, that's where you should start reading. Just go to the bottom of the page and work your way up.)

Pup/Owner is a pretty new set of terms for me. Not 100% new, since I had found (and posted) that video about men as (leather) puppies a while back. I'm going to assume that, as in the video, it involves dressing the "boy" up as a puppy, though the blog hasn't gotten that far yet.

It's pretty hot stuff, that blog. On one hand, it's so good I almost think it's not real, however there are a number of less attractive things (he's cheating on his SO, drugs, some of the things he's into) that I'm going to guess it is real. That's good. I've always loved getting a view into a lifestyle I'd never otherwise have a chance at experiencing first hand.

The drug part of it is really what finally got me to post about it. They use poppers left and right. Until tonight, I had no idea what those were other than "a drug". Wiki knows all. It looks like they're pretty harmless, so it's kind of odd that use of them is kind of putting me off the blog.

So anyway, if you're bored, check it out. (Just not at work!) It's a pretty darned interesting read.

Hmm. I read some entries and I'm kind of split between being fascinated by some of the kinks and the openness of the whole quasi-relationship he has with 'Jeff' and being utterly grossed out by the descriptions of watersports and the casual drug use.

I guess it's one of those 'Wouldn't read it again, but can't deny it's not fascinating to read' things.

hey -- thanks for the posting about my blog (i think). i'm glad you're enjoying it... and a bit surprised by what makes you uncomfortable about it. for instance... getting zapped with electro doesn't get a mention, but spitting does? that's really interesting to me.

look, i'm just gonna warn you... the stuff that comes up in the ensuing weeks is gonna make you more uncomfortable than what you've read thus far. although it does NOT involve dressing up like a puppy lol.

*laughs* I know, that makes no sense at all! It's not like basically the same thing doesn't happen when you kiss, right? Just chalk that up to me having issues. :D

Awww! (Well, that might be still coming up and you don't know about it, right? Or are you writing about this after the relationship ended? Or maybe you shouldn't tell me! That'd be a "spoiler"! :D )

No worries at all! The world would be a darned boring place if no one did anything that made me uncomfortable. Like I said, I do enjoy reading about stuff I'd never otherwise experience!

LOL -- that's what I was thinking -- spit is basically an extension of kissing. I mean, it has its own, more violent (?) aspect, but it's still just an exchange of saliva.

Who knows, maybe Jeff will be into putting me into a leather puppy mask and paws and a rubber tail buttplug at some point... but I thing "puppy" is metaphorical, not literal. it's about ownership (HIS puppy, not just A puppy) and dominance (he's the pupDad).

Yes, it's still going on. At least I fucking HOPE it is -- I've been away at the beach in Cape Cod all week, so I guess I'll see when I get back.

And NO -- you SO didn't offend me. It was just intrigued to see what made you uncomfortable. The warning was basically about the piss stuff -- it gets much more intense in the next chapters. At some point, it's not about the fluid (saliva, piss, sperm) itself... it's about the power differential and wanting to do anything HE wants...

Having previously dated a girl who was into the power-play stuff (and initially, had no idea she was into it), I've always found the psychology of the whole thing intriguing. Personally, not my thing. While I can certainly play the role of the Top, its only that - roleplaying - to me. Can't be with someone I view as a lesser. Particularly when the power exchange starts involving pain...maybe its the ingrained southern gentlemen in me, but hurting girls isn't exciting. I like violence, getting in the occasional bar fight is a blast. But I don't want sex mixed in with it. Or vice versa.

About the drugs though...My aforementioned ex had a thing for poppers and whip-its. This, of course, led to hanging out with people who did too. As I found that there was no shorter route to a splitting headache than inhalants, I stayed sober mostly. Generally the drugs were used as just another part of the 'scene.' Dress up, talk dirty, huff some fumes. Usage of the things starts by the people who have to be doing the latest and greatest thing. It spreads as people associate the various activities at the last party with the scene itself. Pretty soon, its as much part of the whole idea of kink as leather, corsets, dark rooms, etc. Is any of that necessary to the exchange of power the true dedicates are seeking? Of course not, but its all atmosphere in the end, as most of the people are looking for the atmosphere more than any particular act.

yeah, the psychology of the whole thing is foreign to me too. i'm not sure i'm entirely cut out for it... it just seems to work well with this guy. as for pain... there hasn't been a ton of that (it's been more about sensation rather than pain, kind of that weird edge btw pleasure and pain) but i can see how in a male/female situation, that could be disturbing -- way too much cultural baggage. (ok, can i just say it kinda got me hard that you said the occassional barfight is a blast? wow -- i so don't understand that... but THAT is intriguing to me.)
