Personally, I would have been fine with Clinton as VP, but I know that wouldn't have flown outside of the party, so... (Plus, as amazingly good as a president as Bill was, I'm a tad worried about how he is now.) So: Not unhappy at all! Heck, so long as we don't get a third term of the Bush knock-off, I'll be happy!

FFXI: Bah. By not finishing raising my bird yesterday, he got messed up. STR went up to first class today (yay!) but REC fell down a level. >< I could spend the next year trying to get one up and knocking the other down, each time made worse than the day before, or I can finish him with chocobucks today. So, today it is! I just hope I can get it done right, I hope the damage done by not finishing him yesterday wasn't too bad. :/

I'm disappointed it wasn't Hilary, although you're right about Bill being a liability. He's been going a little Britney Spears crazy recently. I don't know about this Biden guy. He seems a little loose-lipped, but I am pleased about all the media coverage this is getting. Mccain who? lol.

I'm hoping Obama will put her to good use once he's elected. Supreme Court would be really nice.

I wish I knew what happened to Bill. He was such a good president (remember when the world actually liked us?). I wonder if it's something like there's no love left between them, but for her career they can't get divorced... I could see him resenting her and acting out for that reason.

I think Hillary would have been a liability. The 8 years of Bush was preceded by 8 years of Clinton, and before that 4 years of Bush Sr.. So two families have dominated the presidency in the last twenty years. Of course Bush Sr. is not the same kind of president as his son (I am okay with Bush Sr. for the most part, even if he did run a historically bad reelection campaign), but I bet that feels pretty dynastic to most Americans. So if you're running a campaign that promises change, Hillary would be a poor choice for a running mate.

Honestly, either candidate would be fine this time around. Either of them would be a massive improvement over the current president, so I am mostly indifferent as to who might win.

Meh... I voted for Clinton. I had very much the same experience with him and a lot of people say they have with Bush today. He started off strong and was a president you could believe in. At the end of 8 years of mistakes and embarassments, it reached a point where he couldn't be gone soon enough.

I doubt my reaction to your above statement, is any different that your reaction to me saying something similar about W. I guess the diference is even though I voted for W, I don't, in any way, think he was an amazing president. But to say Clinton was better... that's just the classic Clinton charisma at work.

Ironic you should use your rainbow icon in a support Clinton reply... "Don't Ask Don't Tell" being one of his policies an all.
