Nine out of ten Hydra heads enjoy the taste of Thistles (FFXI)

Usually I LJ post when I'm done for the evening and nothing further of interest will happen, but today had a surprise waiting for me!

I used to do lots of crafting for a HNM LS. One member saw me in Whitegate and poked me. We chatted a bit and he asked me to go kill Hydra with them. I o.O'ed at him. He said he needed a RDM (which I had been on for zeni farming). I was like 'dude, I have no armor! You don't want me!', but he did. I o.O'ed more. Eventually I agreed to go.

Stay tuned! Tomorrow I'll have time to write up how it went from here~! Late for bedtime now, zzz.

Used to be - I was in Mattet with them (probably the HNMLS you were crafting for), and when Mattet broke most of them (most of the people in your party) joined a LS called "UNBREAKABLE"...which is mostly a social shell for all the people who bonded in Mattet (or at least, all the people on one side of the schism that broke it). I spend a good bit of time on Vent with OC, Baramore, Jacobie, Vashts (who I know from college) and Dharanna (went to their RL wedding), etc. I'd wager it was probably HalfBarrel that went to kill Hydra, and HalfBarrel is a lot of people from Mattet (particularly those who wanted to continue the HNMLS lifestyle), who called the people in Unbreakable (since we're mostly social, casual players now, but still like a good fight...just not scheduling them for 5 days a week)...

Ah, okay. I didn't check any of them, so I never got the LS name. I'm not even sure if they all had the same pearl color on. I should have asked TC, I was kind of curious, but we were rather busy most of the time. :P
