I'm still chugging along in WoW. I'm not sure what this says about the game, but it's really working for me because not only can I ignore it for days at a time, but if I only have a half-hour or hour, I can still jump on and get things done. Today I accomplished a goal that made me very much not miss FFXI: I soloed skilling four weapons and my defense to max level. Soloed. What a pain in the ass skilling was in FFXI! Most jobs needed a tank and a healer, plus something like a bard would really help, all just to skill up. I did great axe, sword, bow, and gun all to 400, and got defense to 400 in the process, all solo and made a lot of money while doing so. (Plus I'm up to 20 stacks of chilled meat for cooking dailies!) I forgot to get a screenshot of it, but I did get the achievement of getting four weapons to 400. I think I'll do the bare handed to 400 one next.

I do wish crafting was more challenging though (and that it wasn't tied to your job-level, grrr). My druid keeps getting stuck because I hate XPing so he can't advance his crafting. Blah.

This was an odd bug I encountered while skilling great axe: I did what? o.O

I have to say, I love goldsellers on WoW. Look how creative they are! They spelled out their website out of dead bodies! There must have been nearly a hundred dead goldsellers in that!

I also love snow in WoW, so peaceful! And rain, too. I could just sit around and happily watch it!

I also love Northrend! I hate XPing, but I really, really want to get my druid high enough to XP there so I can visit the areas again.

I have a new gun! And apparently I'm very excited about it!

[livejournal.com profile] naikitty made it for me!

I don't remember this scene from Dances with Wolves...

And lastly, I love druid! Look, I'm a dancing bear! And an evil (yet handy) fanged sealion thing! And my favorite of all: pretty kitty! My mount might be slightly faster than my travel form, but I run around as it all the time. It looks cool, kodos suck big lizard ass.

I do miss FFXI, sometimes a lot, but that's only until I remember how many hoops you had to jump through for the smallest things. I miss decorating my moghouse and chatting with people, but the idea of putting myself back into a situation where you basically can't do anything without the help of others... no thanks. I do miss chatting with folks though! :)

Isn't the fact they had enough characters to actually do that a bad thing? Although it's certainly epic, if I had seen that in game I probably would goto the website just out of curiosity more then anything o.O

Hacks on getting achievements you shouldn't get! Gun is pretty cool, I like it. I've actually been thinking of maybe jumping back into WoW, for a bit, after the July 20th update and I finish of WotG missions/MKD (Moogle Kupo d'Etat) but I'm not sure yet. By then I should have my new computer so I might load it up for a month just to see what everything looks like maxed out in WoW.

Speaking of Mog House, I'm working on a renovation of mine! I don't like how it looks right now but I will come up with something eventually. Hobby-Bo mine! 500k spent so far >.>

Don't ever give into that curiosity. Most gold farmer gold is now gotten by hacking characters rather than actually farming. I managed to get a keylogger somehow despite rarely downloading things, having anti-malware software, a firewall, Adblock, and Noscript. They're nefarious and you don't ever want to do anything that might open yourself up for an attack.

Which is odd, cause I do things that would open me up for attack all the time with the shit I download and the places I go and yet my computer is insanely clean (unless they are just hiding so well my programs can't find them XD) and I never get hacked. At least...not since Diablo II anyways.

You haven't gotten hacked /yet/. That's the key word. If you're doing unsafe stuff, you really ought to get an authenticator. It won't help for FFXI and whatever other games you play, but it'll at least protect your WoW account and any future Blizzard games you might get like Diablo III.

Meh, the thing is I have an authenticator for my FFXI account because there is like 3 or so solid years of work on that character. If my WoW account gets hacked it would maybe take me 1 solid month to relevel everything and then another to have all my reputations back to what they were. I think it's more that I just don't care what happens to my WoW account since I haven't played it for forever and I never did endgame stuff so I don't have anything that's exceptionally difficult to get back.

If you're not playing WoW currently, that's probably why you haven't gotten hacked. They don't hack inactive accounts, they hack active ones.

Keyloggers only work if you visit the site in Windows. Both of my computers run Linux now that I can play both FFXI and WoW in Linux. A second computer is good--even better if it's a Mac or Linux box.

Or FreeBSD, if you can get it to work. At all.

That's why I use an alternate computer to look up stupid stuff. =D

Agreed. I'm very curious, but I resisted going. Though I realized here at work I could actually look! No account info on this machine and tons more security!

Oddness. Nothing on the site at all, assuming I'm reading the URL correctly. Just a parked 'coming soon' type thing.

Ooh, be sure to post screenshots once you're done with your house!

Hobby-Bo mine! 500k spent so far

Blah! If I was still active there, I could have made it for you cheap!

, if I had seen that in game I probably would goto the website just out of curiosity more then anything o.O

I was very tempted, but no way I'd visit the site ... though hmmm, I could do it here from work! Nothing to hack here! (Eh, sort of!)

Someone actually found the Hobby-Bo for me in a bazaar for like 100k (50k cheaper then AH) so I got a nice deal on it anyways. I'm sure you could have made it for exponentially cheaper but thems the breaks I guess.

I actually had to make my own tables in the new setup because there was none on the AH but I didn't save much money. I think the final house will be less flashy then what it was; but it will be more house looking. Not just like my storage closet or something.
