Image meme!

I usually avoid memes like the plague, but one that involves posting (sort of) random images? I'm so there!
The rules:
1) Post ten of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive.
2) NO CAPTIONS!!! It must be like we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just like we have to interpret your words.
3) They must ALREADY be on your hard drive - no googling or flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.
4) You do NOT have to answer any questions about any of your pictures if you don't want to. You can make them as mysterious as you like. Or you can explain them away as much as you like.
Rule #1 amuses me -- I found the first nine images in one single folder, let alone having to go to Google. For number ten I looked in other folders just because I knew what I wanted for it (though I ended up not finding it and went with another).
I'm going to ignore #2, so there all-caps!
#1: This one covers two parts of me: My enjoyment of 'random images' and of dark things. Though I'm not religious at all, I love the whole Four Horsemen idea/image. (Edit: Belatedly I see a fifth horse! Oh well!)

#2: Slash and anime! Naruto and I had a falling out long ago, but this picture still makes me want to lick the screen.

#3: FFXI. I was going to use this image of my most favorite sig to represent FFXI, but since I quit this one fits better. (It came in second(?) in the BG FFXI art contest a few years back.)

#4: Again with the 'I'm not religious, but I like this image' thing. I have a whole collection of 'fandom/theme Last Supper' images. This also covers 'yay gay!' and 'I <3 San Francisco!', and assorted girly noises about leather being hot.

#5: WoW and RP all rolled into one! I was going to use the image of Haken I had commissioned, but even unfinished this one has more color and life. Made by
naikitty!

#6: My political views! How perfect his this for that? :D Well, I could have used just an Obama one too, but I like how off-beat this one is.

#7: This feels like the most personal one of the ten. Something I need to work on.

#8: I wanted one of cats in general. I almost went with this one because it has so much personality, but this one always makes me want to cry. *sniffles*

#9: I seem to have doubled-up more than I intended. Another FFXI one, but more than that it represents many years of RP. Plus, in addition to being FFXI, it was my most favorite job of them all, and the AF I was most proud to get. Plus my favorite expansion, too! :)

#10: Last but far from least, my cat. The photo I had wanted was one of her asleep in my bed, under the covers, her head resting on a book with my reading glasses next to her. That could have represented reading plus her, but unfortunately I couldn't find it. This is one of her favorite places to sleep, another being next to the keyboard, draped across my left arm. Warm cat > typing!

Edit: 1) I resized the two large images because side scrolling sucks! 2) No one's life can be summed up in ten images, so I hope no one feels bad about being left out or something we used to do (or currently do!) being left out!

Date: 2009-07-15 03:27 pm (UTC)1) is very cool. I always love epic scenes like that.
2) Gah. Um... me too? Kakashi/Iruka has somehow become my second favorite slash pairing (behind Sokka/Zuko... no pun intended.) I don't usually go for coplayers, but... um, wow.
4) That startled me for a second, because I work in that town. I was like, what street fair? Then I saw the small print. Oh San Fransisco. Never change. ;D
5) YES. Obmailry FTW!!!
8) I like how one guy in the background is carrying his box 'o crap, and this guy has his cats which are clearly more important. You go, dude!
