Test one: Pork chop. Marinated 24 hours. Results? Meh. Had no flavor. Sad!
Test two: Chicken breasts. Marinated 24 hours. Results? MMMMMM! Yummiest thing ever!
So a big big big thumbs up for char siu! I could eat nothing but chicken breasts in it for the rest of my life! Mmm!

WoW: Maybe 'insane' isn't the right word. I hate doing instances and dungeons and all that. I avoid doing them even with my good friends. So what on god's green earth made me accept an invite from randoms? Well, okay, I was thinking better armor would be good for PvP and "free" XP, and I got both, but still... So very not worth it. BFD is now my least favorite place in the game. Fighting underwater? Ceilings so low little elf me couldn't even see? (Thankfully I wasn't there on my main! He's four or five times as tall!) Gah, I hated every single second of it... more than two hours worth of seconds. I did get three blues I'll use and a bunch of crap to sell, but it took all my RP time. :(
PvPed muchly in the morning. Between the two events, got two and a half levels. Speedy me!
I was having such a wonderfully nice relaxing weekend... ending on a stressed note thanks to BFD. Blah!

Date: 2009-08-10 04:19 pm (UTC)It's like a bade of honor for me now. Other then the people on vent that we joke about it I don't get tells from random people oddly enough. I was almost expecting a "Oh my god you're an idiot!" or two but they haven't come yet. Probably because the "Oh ya, well at least I had the balls to try ya pussy." response is just to easy to throw out and they know it.

Date: 2009-08-10 01:25 pm (UTC)No way! That's my favoritest instance in the whole game!
For real!
^_^ When I was first getting started the mobs outside the deep (they were elites then) were the first elite mobs a level higher than I was that I was able to solo. And that instance was something I ran a TON with my first guild, good times. Sorry you had so much stress though, and yeah, PUGs are pretty wretched until 70+.
My suggestion -- ask Energon or Embyr or Querlieque to run you though stuff. =) Trust me when I say they'd all love to do it for you! Hell, when I faction transfer Liannin I'LL run you through stuff for Phat Lewtz(tm)!

*laughs* Thanks, but this is on my RL server instead of the one with all of them! Though Nai's alt on it did run me through one on Friday, <3 person that she is!

Date: 2009-08-10 02:31 pm (UTC)When all's said and done, the char siu is WAY tastier than the hoisin, but I'm kind of glad I've got both. You can never have too many Chinese sauces. :D

I'm not sure why it didn't work on the pork, though I did forget to salt and pepper it, which might have been part of the issue (I did it after it cooked, but I'm not sure if that's as good).

Date: 2009-08-10 06:32 pm (UTC)Some of my favorite sauces:
Marsala sauce (see recipe below)- great on pork
Hosen sauce- good to cook with or just dress with, kinda sweet
Oyster sauce - good to cook with
Ber blanc sauce (omg, so buttery good)Good on steak and fish
hollandaise sauce - good on eggs and some veggies
Look up "Mother Sauces" and sauces you can make with them.

Date: 2009-08-10 04:26 pm (UTC)Sear the pork on both sides then turn the heat down some and finish cooking pork till desired doneness. Remove from pan and place sliced mushrooms into pan and saute. Might have to add a little butter to pan if there isn't enough fat in pan from pork. When mushrooms are cooked, pour about an ounce of the marsala into pan. If you don't have a gas oven, get a candle lighter or a long match. Set the marsala on fire in pan and let it burn out. Reduce sauce down to nape. (nape means that when you dip a spoon into it and run your finger down the spoon it separates and doesn't pull back but it isn't really thick.) put pork back into pan and coat into sauce.
Grab a plate, place pork with mushroom and sauce on it. Find a great show on TV and enjoy! ^^
