I used to make posts like this all the time for FFXI updates/expansions...

Eeeeeeeee new expansion! OH MY GOD. All the old zones totally changed? (Sort of like taking Wings of the Goddess from FFXI but having that be the current-time world instead! With giant new changes instead of bomb craters! Eee!)

EEEEEE new races! I wanna be a werewolf! Guess I'm finally going to put long-term play into the Alliance side. DO NOT WANT goblins on our side. Gah! I hate gnomes! They're so short and... short! I was so happy we didn't have any annoyingly short people on our side! Stupid goblins.

Eeeeee flying in the old lands! About time! :D (I wonder when this comes out? Maybe I better start making money again... c.c )

Higher level cap! Boooooo. I don't wanna XP more. D:

Really, just reworking the whole world is enough to make me bounce! Not just reskinning the old zones, changing them! And eeeeee flying!

How exciting it'll be to level new characters now! All the "old" zones will be new!

'Welcome to World of Casuals' -- like streamlining the game to focus on making it FUN is bad? I'm thrilled with most of the stuff they're planning, though I still think I'll be playing more Aion than WoW. The point is moot as it will be a long time before these changes, which will definitely change in the interim btw, are implemented. =)

Yes, this is very, very exciting. Don't worry about the level cap increase, though. It sounds like leveling is going to be a very different experience for 81-85.

And if worse comes to worst, I can do it the same way I did 75-80: With dailies! I still do cooking and fishing dailies, so I could eventually level just through those two!

Personally, I gave up on playing on live WoW servers...so I play on a pirate server. As a developer, I lend a hand to the server admins at times. Our most recent project was to raise the level cap to 100. The main thing that impacts is the player's base stats. Problem is, the WoW backend is only built to handle maximum base stats of 255. Most jobs hit 255 in one base stat (a few hit it in more) by level 100. We determined you could crank it to level 255 if you want...but past 100, you get diminishing returns. Who gives a shit if every level, a priest gets STR+4...once int and spirit and stamina are maxed.

So now we're working on gear for those higher levels :D
