I'm still alive! (Work, WoW, TV)

Work is settling down and settling in. I don't want to lock this post, so I won't go into details. There are some ups and some downs, but nothing so bad I'm going to /wrist over it.

Good news: The blood stain on my new cubical turned out to be hot chocolate or coffee! Eventually they sent someone to fix the lights (there had been zero of them over my desk), and the lighting let us see the true color. Yay not sitting in a murder cube!

WoW: Slow and steady wins the race? 78 rogue. I took tonight off... sort of. RPed all night (YAY). Did only one AV over lunchtime (only since it was the daily). I'm big enough for WG now! And boy is WG nicer than all the other BGs! I mean really, nicer. None of the crappy 'lol gay', 'im gunna fuck yo mama and yo dawg an den fuck u 2', etc. I'm guessing because it's just one server instead of a battlegroup, so what you do will somewhat stay with you.

Another good thing about WG: I'm making the currency to buy the XP+ shoulders! Woot! If I ever do another alt, they'll get 10% more XP in BGs and XPing and stuff! WG is amazing honor, too. I make 300-500 per AV, but in WG I make 3K each time. o.o

I'm semi-thinking about doing the '50 mounts' achievement for a white albino mount. If I get all the PvP mounts and all the mounts I can buy (not counting the one that costs 20,000G or whatever insane amount the most expensive one is) I'd be just one short. I could do rep for that one... (Of course getting all the PvP means I'd need 100+ WSG marks, and I hate WSG so much...) It's just semi-thinking about it really, since I don't need a new flying mount.

I'm also semi-doing the pet one, for the skunk pet. I wasted four hours the other day farming some instance to try to get a pet. BLAH. Less semi-doing this than the mount one, because WTF? I don't need, use, or overly like pets. It just bugs me that the achievement is there and I haven't done it. Unfinished work! Arg! It keeps me up at night!

TV: Blah. I'm currently watching Castle, Merlin, GI Joe, Smallville, and Burn Notice. They're all about the same: Not horrible but not great. "Meh", as all the kids say. I wish I could find another show that hooks me...

I need to write about Song of Ice and Fire sometime (I'm about a quarter into book three! Eee!), but not tonight. Loving it endlessly! Though I'm sad to hear that he's against fanfic. :( What's up with that?

*laughs* Better to say nothing! Especially since I misjudged how far along in the book I am -- I'm about a quarter in, not half. I should edit the post so no one says anything based on that... *does so now*

Yea, I just undid my comment because of this. You could spoil quite a lot with just 2 words. I'm just now reading them too (thank you iPhone & Stanza), and am about halfway through book 4. I liked book 3 more - there were a lot of twists and turns I didn't quite expect. I practically yelled at my eBook when you figure out about Beric Dondarrion.

Yay! I'm glad you're reading it, too! *bouncies* I'm not even done reading yet and I already need to reread the series -- I'm really curious as to which point the Hound became one of my favorite characters... (And I'm so worried! Arya's last chapter ended with a Lannister being captured, and it was someone she was praying would die... Eeeeek! I bet it's him!)

It's so amazing how he could end every chapter with "Ack! Stop! Don't end here, I need to know what happens nex-- Oh, hey, (character)'s chapter! I needed to know what happened next! *happy noises*".
