I hate Thanksgiving (WoW)

I don't suppose this holiday would be very annoying for non-rogues. I hate costumes. If you like them, yay for you -- different people like different things. I very, very, very much dislike having things forced onto me. Like costumes. I bet I was turned into a turkey more than a hundred times today. And yes, I know you can just click it off, but... grrrrrr. They should at least set it up that if a rogue gets turned into a turkey by someone that the rogue gets credit towards the accomplishment, too.

Seriously. This annoyed me all day long. Middle of a serious RP scene? Turned into a turkey. In the middle of PvP? Turned into one. Fishing? Turned into one. Standing around Dal? *makes turkey noises*

Thanks to FFXI, I was stressed the heck out over this event to begin with (world events on FFXI used to be nothing but generally annoying at best, horrible stesssy time-wasters for no reward at worst). I always expect things on WoW to be worse than they really end up being.

Event rocks for a mule with no cooking skill. I did 1-325 cooking nothing but (basically free) Thanksgiving stuff in about an hour.

Other than that, things are going on. Some of the newness has worn off the guild and I'm no longer "OMG I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!", but it's still worth staying in. RP happens; some days I get great RP, most days I get meh RP. But really, so long as I get a hit RP daily, I'm happy enough. New plot foo might be opening around my character, which could be interesting.

Tomorrow or the next day I'll have the rep with AC/jousting to get my XP chest piece for my druid (currently 25 -- only thing I'm doing is the PvP daily on him, so it's slow).

I finally finished engineering on Saturday. 'Finally' because I had totally forgotten it existed. 430-450 in a sitting. I was expecting a lot worse than it was. If I remember FFXI crafting correctly (big 'if', amusingly enough), the end of engineering was about level 30 challenging crafting on FFXI: Starting to get slightly annoying, but nothing really too bad. Once done I made all sorts of toys, including my favorite, a wormhole to death Northrend. (Luckily I've turned my cloak into a parachute.)

I may or may not do JC next on him. He really has no second profession now (herb, about level 100 or so).

Being polymorphed against my will pisses me the fuck off. =) At least there is an addon to deny the twits using the Mohawk Grenades. Haven't had to test it yet, but there you go. I saw two addons for that, maybe someone will write one for the turkey thing. It won't stop it, but it will probably remove it immediately for you. Which is something.

Oh! As to Engineering -- it SO rocks. =)

If you have it capped there's even an Auction House in Dalaran that only Engineers can use. =) In the engineering shop right by the other craft specific shops.

JC is a bit of a chore 1-300, but once you get to 300 (BC gems) it goes fast. Getting the recipes is a lot harder as almost all of the Burning Crusade rare quality cuts are world drops, though they're a lot less expensive now. It was a real chore before Wrath. The Wrath cuts are mostly bought with JC tokens from the Daily, or available with exalted rep with various and sundry Northrend factions. =)

My character Liannin is JC/Engineering -- it is a great combo though sometimes I miss mining. I used to happily spend hours mining and then prospecting the ores for gems. Which I'd then cut and sell. =) VERY lucrative.

Heck yes! The AH alone is worth it. :D

One of the things that nudges me towards JC is that I do so much Wintergrasp -- I make all the marks of honor which could be used for JC recipes!

Oh yes, that's what's making me rich. I make 600-800 gold twice a week, just from selling gems bought with honor (and I don't hardly PvP anymore, just WG twice a week and the daily PvP quest).

Gotta polymorph myself a troll then go alliance hunting! I could see how it would be stupidly annoying in an RP situation though, I would say some sort of opt out system would be nice but maybe just for the effect. Like a "turn off event polymorph" button or something.

Me and the Rogue class have a relationship in by which I don't really care what pisses them off, at least the alliance ones. The horde ones are my back stabbing, thieving, sneaky, brothers in arms (except for future goblin ones). So I will be taking this opportunity to inflict as much inconvenience on alliance rogues as possible. *puts on his Pilgrim Hat and heads out for the hunt*

I hate being turned into anything. Or having a hat put on me. Or any other costume. Exception: When the person doing so is a friend. For some odd reason that's okay. =)
