I'm still rather confused about tier armor, but I think I have a piece now! Last night I was poked to go pick up Shoulderplates of Trembling Rage, and the comments on Wowhead talk about it being an upgrade or downgrade from T9.5 DK stuff, so... Or maybe not, after reading the comments on Thottbot. Oh well! Whatever they are, they're not golden BoA shoulders!

Also: I suck at lolcat speak.

I'm really getting used to instances. We seem to do a handful of them every other day or so. They're becoming boring even! Ha ha, boring is good. Everything in my life is either OH MY GOD WHAT IF I'M DOING SOMETHING WRONG AND MESS UP AND ARG ARG ARG or boring. So: Boring is good!

In semi-related news: I'm getting out of the inscription business. I need to sell off my stock of glyphs (~150 of them) and stop buying herbs to make more inks to make more. It's just so very much not worth the time. I spend ~30 minutes in the morning, ~45 over lunchtime, ~30 minutes after work, and an hour before logging to make 100-300 gold a day. For that amount of time, it's such a joke! I could nearly make more than that spending that time picking herbs and selling them raw.

Happily, between RPing and instancing I haven't felt the need to start leveling another character.

Abruptly ending post ends abruptly.

I feel you so hard on this one. Back when I first started raiding I would get so nervous I'd sit here in front of my computer and tremble. Literally. I'd get so worked up I would sit here and shake. Half the time I'd end up drinking a beer (and I'm not a drinker) or something just to calm myself down a little.

Of course, then I got to the point where I got so comfortable with it that I could just goof off like crazy, and did. Much better. Much more fun.

*laughs* I'm not to the goofing off point yet! Once I stop being lowest DPS in the group then maybe! :P Though I think I beat the tank last night, so that's something? And I always beat the healer, ha ha.

Yeah, once I realized that the more I knew, the less afraid I became, I started pulling out the research. I love learning mechanics in just about anything I do, so with each of my mains I learned what specs, what gear, and what rotations I needed to do the very best I possibly could. Not really so I could become an elitist bitch, but more because I felt more confident in my own abilities. If I could top the damage charts, or be a noticeably good tank, or keep my assignment healed up better than anyone else in the raid... what did I have to be afraid of? People are much more willing to overlook your mistakes if you prove yourself knowledgeable in general, I've noticed.

Of course, it depends who you're running with. If it's just friends then it often doesn't matter if you're not cranking out absurd DPS numbers or whatever. So that's always nice to keep in mind too.

Yeah, just with friends so far. Sometimes I think about PUGing it, but... I suspect that'd likely be highly painful and probably not worth it.

That's not tier piece. Tier is all class specific and has a bonus for 2 piece and 4 piece.

Here's your tier 9. =) http://www.wowwiki.com/Koltira%27s_Battlegear

Oooh! Thanks for the link! I think my friend and RP buddy is collecting those pieces! Triumph badges, hmmm. I can get those! :D (Though I have other things that need serious upgrading first!)

Easiest thing to do would be to go to WoW Wiki and type in Tier X, where X = 1-10. WotLK tiers are 7-10. =) 7 and 8 are mostly outdated now with heroics giving triumph badges though.

From there, just find the gear associated with your class and role (Tank or DPS for DK, for me it'd be heals or DPS.).

It looks like you got the better shoulders though. :) I made that mistake and bought the tier shoulders (l232) first, only to find the level 245 ones. x.x

So! Get the shoulders and head piece in l245, then get the rest of your tier set. Don't waste badges like I did. :)

Nai and company pointed me in the right direction! They're good folks, poking me in the right direction and putting up with my low DPS. :)

I still can't believe I'm doing this stuff!

So that's where Nai is. ;)

Ya like achi stated, the Tier pieces are the ones with bonuses. I'm almost at my second piece of Tier 10 for DK. I got one from going a PUG 25 VoA (wintergrasp raiding place) where I beat (crushed) another DK on the roll (can't beat 100 sucker!) and I almost have enough frost badges to grab another piece. Mmmm 7% more Heart Strike damage...

I never understood how people made so much gil off inscription. Also, I am equally confused as to why one would need that much gil in WoW. I mean, I'm just kinda slowly growing in gold (3k now) from doing dailies/dungeons. I don't pay for anything anymore other then the occasional flask for raiding. I enchant my own gear, I use my honor to buy gems and have the guild leader cut them for me, and I fish/cook my own food! Heck, the only time I will actually need to buy something is if I'm trying to buy an enchanting/tailoring pattern (oh ya, I make my own bags for alts as well) or buying a new pet or something.

Although I would like a mechano-hog, damn you 12k gold!

I still have yet to kill Toravon.

I'm kinda upset though, because when I first started picking up my T10, I planned on getting the healing set. And then my guild somehow found a TON of new healers. I'm better geared for DPS, always have been. I tend to be in the top four DPS in a 10-man as well.

So they have me come as DPS mostly now. I almost have enough badges to hit S2 on T10 healing, but I'm debating picking up T10 DPS now.

I also spent 200 gold last night switching to the DPS Ashen Verdict ring. =/

It keeps cutting into my red drake/mekgineer's chopper/traveler's tundra mammoth fund!

I should switch tabards to Wyrmrest, I want that drake...

It's nice how fast rep is in dungeons! Too bad it doesn't work for every single faction...

One benefit that I had with faction change is that a few factions that would normally be a mob grind became extremely easy with the ability to do the Alliance version of that rep. Take that, Mag'har/Kurenai rep! I <3 my talbuks.

Too bad it didn't work the same for Cenarion Expedition.

I hope they continue with their "championing" system in Cataclysm. Maybe some of the older rep grinds will get their own tabard. I'm looking at you, Cenarion Circle. >=( Damn hippies.

Agreed! I really hope they expand it to more reps. It's not effortless (I had to spend a couple hours last night getting WRA to friendly so I could buy a tabard), but it's tons easier!
