Winter is Coming (in April!)

All you Song of Ice and Fire folks, HBO sent out a "press kit" (which is nothing like any press kit ever sent out before) to a few blogging sites and a couple critics. It looks pretty darned amazing.

This blogger made a video of opening it all up and checking it out.

Through the whole video all I could think about was how much money he could make selling it. I bet he could get many, many thousands of dollars for it. And the guy only just finished reading the books two weeks ago! HBO couldn't find bigger fans to send it to? (LIKE ME!)

Anyway, video is pretty darned cool.

Now to go write angry letters explaining how Thistle is a much better person to send this to, given all the people you have gotten to read the books.

On the note of the box itself, it may be just my perfectionism showing through again but the crests and the map looked like I had drawn them (IE not that good) and I felt that they could have been way higher quality.

It's like they took the person who did the writing (which is awesome) and then had them draw the rest of the stuff while they were at it and they weren't that good at it or something.

I don't know, I just figured they would have better map makers in Westeros.
