Thanks mostly to amanuensis1, I jumped in feet first and wrote a little story for the newest Roughside fest. I read through the list of ideas, and one (#17) just leapt at me, attached itself to my face, and wouldn't let go. #46 made me giggle, so I included it as well.

Assuming I still like the (as of yet titleless) story when I read it tomorrow, I'll need to somehow find a beta. To any writers who read this, can you let me know how you find one? I seem to recall someone mentioning a site where you could get one? Thanks!

Shoot, I can't think straight either-- where are all those beta tester links? There are files for same in the files sections of many of the Yahoo! groups.

I'm tempted to overextend myself and offer my beta services! If you've not found one, let me know! I'm too excited not to!

I read it over this morning and liked it, other than a bit of wording here and there (sleeping on things can do wonders). However, I think I might have a problem. ...well, maybe not. I have no sex in the story (I didn't notice that until this morning! Duh!), but I just read the rules and sex seems not to be required... Or am I missing it and it's implied by the group in general that there has to be sex in the story? If that's the case, no problem. I can add it in with an extra line or two (implied).

Thanks for the beta info! I'm gonna go hunting for one today as work allows.

No, that's fine! While NC-17 is encouraged (and yes, I know that NC-17 isn't just sex!), any rating is fine. Leave out the sex if you think it would not enhance the story. (Or put it in if it would!)
