I used to be fine with one outfit per character. If they needed to wear something different, I could just write it into a post. At some not-too-long-ago point, that changed. Now I'm all MUST HAVE MORE OUTFITS.

The AH has been kind of dry lately, so I downloaded the WoW model viewer and poked through things. Before too long, I had 20 or so "shirts" that I was interested in. Pants, boots, and belts could be done on some later date.

It's really a pain that you can't tell what quests you have or haven't yet done, but in this case, my 'questing as little as possible' really worked out -- every quest I wanted stuff from I hadn't done yet! I did a couple of seriously long quest chains in Outlands (including one I needed to solo a dungeon! I know, Outlands, but it wasn't something non-PvE me had done before).

Unfortunately I had to learn a hard truth: Even with all of WoW's graphics set to the highest settings, the in-game models in no way match the model viewer. Sharp colors, wonderful details, brightness, so much was lost in-game. Not to mention how area lighting effects things!

I have one more shirt I can go after tomorrow, and two I want crafted, assuming I can round up the expensive mats and can find some LW who knows the (rare? comes from odd rep) pattern.

Then, with the half-dozen new shirts in hand, I combed the AH for pants and shoes... and came up with nothing. Ugh.

And after all this running around? I decided that it makes sense for Keen to not have beautiful, perfectly matching things -- he comes from the street, he's pretty darned poor, a nice shirt and whatever pants/shoes he usually wears makes more sense!

Related to all this, his date with Grr was very sweet. Grr picked the spot this time, that mushroom circle where the animals come to watch the little dragons. Unfortunately the event didn't happen while we were there, but it was still a nice spot. Keen picks the next spot, and I already know where it will be. Heeheehee.

Unless it's changed, if you use the WoWhead profile stuff and their addon/upload feature it keeps track of all the quests you've completed on your wowhead profile. I used it when I was going after the old "Lore" achievements before they changed so I could keep track of all the quests that "count" which I had done.

Ooh, that's a good idea. Thanks!

FACT: Lu's first RP outfit was selected to look as horrible as possible together. I don't remember if you saw it or not, it was this horrible yellow robe and fuschia and teal cape, and I was SO PROUD OF IT.

*laughs* Horrible can work better than beautiful! I'm not sure if I had seen it or not... I really didn't pay much attention to outfits before now! Then suddenly it clicked (final transition from MU*ing to WoW RP?).

I waited hours at that darn mushroom ring for the event! XD I showed up when there was just one of the fey dragons up. Turns out they take a long, long, LONG (did I mention long?) time to all spawn, and then they can just sort of hang around for a long, LONG (etc) time before it happens.

I saw it, though, and decided it was definitely worth it. :3 Good luck on Keen's next date!

I was told it takes 6 hours between events, which is better than what I had thought (12-24!). But once it starts, it takes two hours from the animals gathering to the main event starting. Long indeed!

And thanks!

Egad. I'm pretty sure I didn't have to wait THAT long. XD Maybe an hour after they were all up? I've heard it can start at a random time anywhere from one minute to several hours after they're all spawned, so maybe that's it?

Oh! Maybe the person who told me that was mistaken!

There's a little mushroom circle where animals come to watch the dragons? I'm unfamiliar with this. =o

Also, as mentioned above, Wowhead is an option. If you're looking for something to use in-game, take a look at Quest Completionist. It's what I've been using to find quests I might be missing when I'm playing through new areas (So unfamiliar with Cata quests! @_@).

Google "wow mushroom circle"! First video result, annoying voiceover. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc-VwmOiECE)

And thanks for the ideas!
