I wish I were better at this kind of dancing. It's surprisingly hard! It's one of my hardest exercise DVDs. Luckily no one can see me when I do it, so I'm free to randomly flail and pretend I'm keeping up okay.

OMG. I love that kind of dancing. Maybe without someone dressed up as a pack of birth control pills but otherwise...

I wanted to take a belly dancing class and then I thought: "Humiliations Galore!"

But I'm thinking a dvd would be good and if my daughter laughs at me it's quite alright!

DVD is so the way to go! I have so many different dancing styles I do, and even though I'm about the worst dancer ever, it's fine because no one sees me. (Maybe you could lock your daughter out while you do it? :P )

Haha, she's not even two yet and if my terrible dancing makes her laugh I'll take it as a good thing. More importantly she LOVES to dance (and is already way better than me) so I was thinking it might be something fun to do together where I don't have to make a fool out of myself in front of strangers. :p

I took a belly dancing class - it was a special class, not for people that plan on going on stage, but taught by someone that was a pro. We must have looked funny, but it was a complete blast! You would have to envision a collection of women from about 12 to about age 60, in every weight range from "very thin" to "me - 265 pounds, 5'3" tall" and it was just the most fun.

Like I told my friends, why not? Lord knows, I have the equipment.

I was going to in the last city we lived in, but there doesn't seem to be anything like that around where we live now. But maybe in the future! :)
