Silly character, keep your own guilt! (RP, WoW)

More RP tonight, woot! But instead of leaving me bouncy, it has me all rrrrr. I hate it when *I* react to things more OOCly than the character does ICly. Thistle killed a puppy tonight, he thought he was doing it under orders. He was "wrong", he got punished, and in his mind that's that. (OOCly I'm not sure I agree he was in the wrong, but it doesn't matter, the character giving the order said he was and he accepted that.) OOC me is all I'M AN IDIOT I'M STUPID I DID SOMETHING WRONG EVERYONE IS GOING TO HATE ME NOW I CAN DO NOTHING RIGHT -- my usual reaction to making a mistake, all-caps optional. It's a bad reaction to RL mistakes, and it's just plain silly to feel that way about an IC one!

Anyway, it was totally outstanding RP. Another five hour stretch of it, which is wonderful except one thing... I need some time to cook! I've been eating a skinless, boneless chicken breast for dinner for, what, two weeks now? Almost three? But I keep making it the same exact way, which is starting to become boring. I have other ways I can try it, but I need time! So last night and tonight I are it the same way, but didn't even finish it because it was so boring. (And now I'm STARVING!)

Man, I'm typing in all caps a lot tonight.

Deathwing visited us in the middle of the scene, which was extra-amusing. Also, it was the second to last alt I needed the achievement on! Only little Clover still needs it.

Rrr, I had something else to write about it, but can't remember now. Oh well! <3 all!

Edit: Oh! The other thing. It drives me crazy that I don't know what's "right" when someone uses an in-game attack ICly. How long should it last? What exactly should one feel? Should it be enough to knock the person off their feet? Knock them out? If I don't know what's right, what if I'm wrong?! Part of me knows that there is no "right", but what if the majority of people handle X attack in Y way, but I don't know that? (I worry way too much about these things, but I don't want to do things wrong!)

I'm sorry, I was kinda worried about my mage's reaction but it was all over the Tome so it would have been really OOC for me not to have him react when it was clear he was actively reading (talking to Luxxe at the time).

So I hope I didn't add to your OOC guilt!

Nothing to feel guilty about! In fact, it probably WAS Anleron's fault, because he was the responsible adult, he just convinced Nikkitah that it wasn't!

Yeah, it's just my brain being silly. Making mistakes, even outside of RP, is expected! No one is perfect, my brain needs to learn that. :P

And I extend the same offer back to you! I hadn't realized you had alts in TLF until I saw your LJ link, otherwise I would have talked to you OOCly sooner. I know there were some... issues... between my alt (Haken) and the guild. I spoke to Nikk for quite a while OOCly before we really RPed much, trying to settle things as best we could. If you have any issues or concerns, feel free to ask! I'm loving this RP and I'd rather not have OOC bad blood get in the way of things.

No bad blood here. I'm really enjoying the RP and I'm glad that you're around to RP with. He's a cute character, and I love him to pieces despite a character or two of mine wanting to ring his neck. :P

Good! I'm very glad to hear that! I hate the idea of RL hard feelings, especially if they get in the way of RP!

I'm totally loving RPing with you, too! Anleron makes me grin endlessly. :D

I owe someone else RP, I'm going to try to catch him tonight, but if he's not on or at some future time Thistle is going to try to find Anleron's new place and bring him tea or something.

You have hit upon why I HATE rping combat! SO I FEEL YOUR PAIN.

Seriously I hate it SO MUCH. It is one of the reasons I like RPing with death knights, because I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT because LU IS MADE OF PAPER and they could kill her with two fingers and a twist tie.

Luckily I don't RP fight much, but in this case the DK used some of his moves to punish my character. I was all FLAIL FLAIL HOW MUCH SHOULD THAT DOOOOOOOO?!
