thistlechaserI'm sick, I had four hours of sleep last night, bedtime was an hour back, and I'm about a million years from sleeping.

I mean like ever-ever. :D Ever been in a group scene where every single post is perfect? Everyone's posts every time? (Except mine because ARG why can't I pre-type in notepad so I can catch redundant words! And 'happy'? 'Happy'?! Is there a more bland, less descriptive word out there? And rough sentences, arg!)
For you MU* folks, recall how the best RP logs would be linked from the game's webpage, as an example of RP found on that game? This would be so totally linked from our page. :D
Ha ha, tomorrow morning I'll be all embarrassed that I posted this, because everyone involved can read it, but tonight? SO HAPPY.SO NOT SLEEPING.

Date: 2011-10-30 02:12 am (UTC)Maybe you guys are used to it? I mean, scenes working so well? It's probably an effect of the group being together for so long, RPing with each other so much. The energy just worked, like one big... woven... thing. A basket. A basket of good RP. :P
Maybe it's like this all the time, but it just took new eyes to recognize it as such! :D

Date: 2011-10-30 03:24 am (UTC)I call this the BLT phenomenon. Like, you can have a BLT and it can range from crap to awesome. But every now and then you get the perfect BLT. The Bacon is nice and crispy, the lettuce is just the right level of crunchy, and the tomatoes are juicy. No soggy, no under/over cooked, just perfect. More then the sum of it's parts.

Date: 2011-10-30 03:28 am (UTC)I think that's what it comes down to. I've gotten that in past RP scenes, but it's rare. It's always been either with someone I was RPing for a long, long time with or someone who would become a long time RP partner.
...and now I really, really want bacon. BLT without the lettuce and tomatoes! Bacon on white toast with mayo. So bad for you, so yummy. Mmm.
