2 good RPs + 2 good TV shows = ... 4 happy Thistles?

I really, really wish I had started watching The Talking Dead sooner. I'm not sure why I didn't. I love The Walking Dead, and The Talking Dead is about The Walking Dead, so... should have been logical! I now have Tivo set to grab it, but I want to look into seeing the previous eps, too.

On a Walking Dead-related note, points to vorrick for comparing Karnak to the barn full of walkers. :D

Even though I like reality TV, I've never watched Celebrity Apprentice or The Apprentice before. But Celebrity Apprentice has a lot of folks I like in this season (Penn Jillette, George Takei, Clay Aiken, and others), so I decided to check it out. It's really interesting to see them all interacting! I should have checked out this show sooner, or at least the Celebrity version of it.

Two good RP scenes too, yay! First I caught vorrick for a fun scene on IM. LOVE IM RP! No buffer limit! Line breaks mid-post! And as a selfish bonus, I can stand in front of the AH while RPing! Best of both worlds! The second was an ear cutting off scene, during which Thistle got to happily (if needlessly) play watchdog. :D

Speaking of the AH, my gold has stayed depressingly the same for two weeks now. While I know why it's happening, it's annoying to see it not moving (or going down!). I've bought up a flock of Swift Lovebirds to sell at a later date (seven of them, though my mount collector has not used one) and a number of the horrible Peddlefeet pets (six of them). Assuming if I can hold out until MoP, I think that will be the best time to move them. Hmm, I might even ship them off to my save-for-MoP guild bank, so they're out of sight until then.

I wish I could stockpile more mats for MoP, but I'm actually already using the ones I had been saving. Based on the AH, not many folks are leveling, certain mats are so rare. I have enough herbs to level two alchemists to max in one go, I can't decide if I should sell them now (fewer other sellers, but fewer buyers) or wait until MoP (more people needing them, but more people selling them).

So tired, but thinking about AH stuff (and good TV and yay RP!) makes me so happy. :)

So is that the kind of thing you're stockpiling for MoP, just mats for profs? I was curious about that when you first mentioned it. I saved up gems and enchanting mats from shortly after 4.2 launched for the 4.3 launch (yay 300k gold in three days), but obviously that's not going to work for MoP since people won't be using Cata gems for the most part then.

Yeah, mats for professions and other assorted things. I was wondering about gems/emchants. Maybe it wouldn't work on your server, but I bet on WRA people will still make good money post-MoP with Cata level stuff, just because it will be so much cheaper. It's more risky than I want to try myself, but I'm just really curious about it.

Glyphs are probably a really good idea too, except the whole 'we're remaking them AGAIN and hey, who needs prime ones?' thing.

I doubt the gems will sell even for you guys, because the green MoP gems will almost certainly be better and they'll be cheap due to people leveling their jewelcrafting and wanting to just offload the stuff they're cutting to level. I could absolutely be wrong, since every server is different and the RP servers are even quirkier than the others, but I have my doubts as to the viability of those. The enchants is hard to guess at until we know what enchants we're getting in the new expansion. For example, there were no agility enchants to gloves and cloak from Cata, so for hunters/rogues/ferals/enh shamans, they've actually been wanting those Wrath enchants the whole expansion. Mongoose was considered a decent enchant throughout Wrath too, so there's certainly some potential there depending on what they do.

Hmm, glad you mentioned glyphs. While I constantly sell those and make them based on demand, the price for herbs has been skyrocketing already and we're months away. I should probably build up a very nice supply of ink, because even if they really do away with prime glyphs, there will still be a need for the others for all the pandaren whatevers. I won't go too crazy until we see more what's happening with inscription, but they did promise not to kill it, so...

I'm not sure. Some people are still using WotLK gems now, and Cata greens are dirt cheap. (I'd almost think that the Cata greens should be cheaper.) This is the only server I play on though, so I can only comment on it.

Agreed that glyphs are probably the way to go though.

Also, any mats for crafting things that are yellow/orange now. People will want to make them for cheaper skillups than new MoP mats will give.

People...are using Wrath gems on your server? o.0 The only people I see using them on mine are those leveling before 80 just because the Cata ones have a minimum ilevel. The Cata uncommons are dirt cheap, like 5-10g each. I long ago gave up trying to sell them, the price is too low to be worth it given the competition from those leveling. Better to either transmute the gems into rares or make them into jewelry to DE. I guess I shouldn't be too shocked, since I've heard horror stories about trying to raid there from a friend who transferred to MG from WrA, but dang. I am.

Hah. I guess then the question is why no one has transferred there as a guild to get server firsts. We've got a guild that did that, which is how we moved from around 170th worst to 100th.
