*squint squint* Oh eyes, why are you not as young as you used to be? RP yesterday was really long and really good, but I seem to have given myself eye strain. (So worth it!) I wear contacts, I've been resisting getting reading glasses to put over the contacts, but maybe I'll have to look into them soon.

Ah, to have perfect eyes.

I had no time for a post last night, and I know I'm behind on replying to my comments, too (today!). The day flew by yesterday, I have no idea how the hours passed so quickly.

I did make time to get to Target. (Such an odd experience. All the employees and customers all spoke Spanish, I don't think I ran into one English speaker until I was checking out. Made it feel foreign and exotic!) I got a table for the plants. Not the table I was hoping for, but as this was store #4, I was willing to settle.

My tablet finally arrived (two day shipping became two week shipping), so I played with it late last night. It was surprisingly hard! I didn't realize how odd it would be to use, I kept wanting to look down at the "paper". I didn't have time to practice much last night, but I think practice is exactly what I need to do.

Now, to concentrate on work... :/

I found it hard to get used to a tablet also, for the same reason. The Cintiq is great because you can write directly on the screen with a stylus. Unfortunately I think even the smaller one is a bit too spendy for casual use...

Funny about the Spanish speaking Target...I used to live in the Los Angeles area, so that was pretty much the norm. When I first walked into the local Walmart here in the boonies, it was so weird to see all white people in the store! That felt all foreign and exotic. XD

Yeah, mine is really small and cheap ($30?), but I just need it for very casual use, so it works for me. It's also interesting because the tablet part is floppy, just a thin piece of plastic! Seems really high-tech, I expected something solid and thick, like a book.

Ha! Amusing that that's backwards. :)

As someone who's had chronic eye problems, be really careful with your eyes. Make sure to take a break every so often (I know; it's hard for me to remember, too) and if you have dry eyes, use eye drops.

Yes, I need to take more breaks. RP is especially "bad" when I do it over IM, so instead of watching TV or something distant between posts, I flip over to WoW. Close up viewing upon close up viewing!

What brand of tablet is it? (If you mentioned this in an earlier post I'm still catching up on LJ).

You'll eventually get used to not looking down at the tablet when you use it. Your hand-eye coordination will catch up to the idea of just following where the cursor is on the screen. :3 Happens kind of suddenly and you don't even realize it until you think on it. XD If your tablet is particularly sensitive it's fun playing with pen pressure.

VisTablet. Or is it two words? Vis Tablet. Hard to tell! Alas I ignored it tonight, instead dealing with OOC stuff and fun RP! Now, somehow, it's almost bedtime again. x.x

All the hugs! <3
