For fealubryne and anyone else who watches Misfits. Which should be EVERYONE. (vorrick, you might not want to click, unless you've watched all the seasons or don't care about spoilers.)

Spoiler for RL news on a cast member and their future status with the show:

Lauren Socha, who plays Kelly, won't be returning. Why? She attacked a taxi driver for racially motivated reasons.

Amusingly, she's been given community service for the attack. (Not really amusing-amusing, since that seems too light a sentence, but amusing in that it reflects her character.)

She's a racist, on a show with people of color. That must have been... something.

So basically there's only three regulars coming back for season four. Rudy, Seth, Curtis. And only one of those is from the original season. :/



Edit: And for non-Misfit people, Awkward Stock Photo has been especially awkward yesterday and today.

Yesterday was this guy (the longer you look, the more evil he becomes!). Today was this kiss between a woman and child which disturbs me on so many levels. akwardstock, for all your most awkward needs? :/

Bah. The worst part of that is that, as a character, Kelly was my favorite since Nathan left. I hate finding out people are racist, it always stings. Maybe I take it too personally, but... ugh.

And, yes, awful, but I snickered at the community service thing. Hee.

Also! Wow. I read the "kiss between a woman and child" and thought, "Oh, can't be that bad. I've seen cute mom/baby kisses, I mean, heck, I do that all the time!" Then I saw that picture. That picture is weird. Not cute. The kid is fine, he vaguely looks like he's trying to eat her face (which Kassie does all the time, but then again... she's nine months old and thinks it's funny) but the woman. GAH. She looks WAY too serious about it. I think part of it is her hand on her necklace. That's a gesture that you tend to see in a romantic-type scenario, not a cute cuddly-kid kiss scenario.

The evil rat-man and his corn amuses me, though. HIS TEETH. EVIL TEETH.

I don't think there is a taking it too personally. I think everyone should be offended and hurt by that. :/

I think the kid having his (her?) mouth open for the kiss made it look worse, too.

And evil man, I can't stop looking at him! He either wants to eat your soul or rape you with that corn cob. Or perhaps one while doing the other.

Misfits has been appearing on my tumblr dash, so this may be a fandom I need to pick up because I neeeeeed to understand.

But that guy with the corn? My mother does not understand why I couldn't stop laughing. xD THE CORN IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.

Is it on Netflix? Hulu? OH GOD PLZ. As soon as I finish Avatar (I never finished the original series so I can't watch Korra yet :O) I'll be all open and needing something to watch in between episodes of Sherlock, so it'll be the perfect time. :3

I don't have Netflix anymore, so not sure about that. I think Hulu didn't have it, last time I looked. I suggest BT, if you're willing/able to us that! (Though it might be out on DVD, too?)

AMG they appear to have 3 seasons on Hulu. 6 episodes in S1, 7 in S2, 8 now in S3 ... sound about right?

Oh yay! You can check wiki to be sure, but that sounds right. The seasons are really short in British shows. Enjoy it! :D And let me know what you think!

Yes, yes they are. You should've seen my face when the first season of Sherlock was finished. I sat there for about 10 minutes just like OH NO YOU DIDN'T. XD

I didn't know you watched Misfits! I haven't read your spoilery post, because I haven't watched series 3 yet, but I am delighted to learn there's yet another Misfits lover on my flist :-)

Oh yes! I love it, one of my most favorite shows ever! I hope you enjoy the third season! Season four is starting later this year. :D

I've only watched the first ep of series 3 so far, and I didn't like the new guy. I'm not quite sure, though, whether I really don't like him or whether I miss Nathan, whom I loved (as a character; he's obviously quite an appalling human being), so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah, I really didn't like Rudy at first, though I also didn't like Nathan for the same reason (their humor doesn't work for me, both annoyed me). But both of them grew on me though. By the end of the season I liked Rudy more than I had liked Nathan. Hopefully he'll grow on you as well.
