This bullying story is making me so sad and so upset. Five different people of varying political parties have come forward with stories of how Romney bullied gay kids in school. All say he was the ringleader. One described in more detail the bullying I posted about yesterday, the look of terror in the kid's eyes after they chased him down and held him down and cut off his hair.

"But he was just a kid, everyone does stupid stuff in high school!" Yes, that's true. I did some very bad things as a kid too. But know the difference between Romney and myself? I have changed. I'm not doing the same thing now. My thoughts and my actions reflect that. What's your stance on gay rights now, Mitt? Oh, right, you're still a bully, you just have more power to hurt people now.

I hope this doesn't go away. I hope people don't forget about this. This is unacceptable in anyone, let alone someone trying to become president.

So, WoW. In MoP, achievements are going to change. Not only are they going to be account-wide, the progress will be, too:

If Alt A does X number of quests and Alt B does Y number of quests, and X + Y = Loremaster, ding! You're a Loremaster.

It seems safe to assume this will apply to other achievements? Between all of my alts, I have about 78,000 HKs. So if I get 22K more on some alt, I'll get the 100K HK achievement and the 'of the Horde' title.

I PvPed on Clove yesterday (my only non-85). In three hours, I made about 150 HKs. Blah.

I'm semi-pondering working on this. 'of the Horde' is a rare title, I've only seen it once or twice the whole time I've been playing. (Though people might mistake it for some rep-related title...) Problem is, 22K is a darned lot of HKs.

If I really hated myself, I could combine this with WSG rep (I have the other two done) and get the Conqueror title. Problem is, I hate WSG more than anything else in the whole game. I think I'd rather get geared up and raid over spamming WSG. :/

Option #3 is to wait for MoP and level my last alt (#11) through BGs. I did that with Kianlar and ended up at then-cap 80 with 50K+ HKs.

I think most of us were rotten kids of one stripe or another; however, how many of us chase someone, pin them down, and rob them of their hair? That's a big step up from being a brat or calling someone hurtful names.

I hate election years with a passion. You can't escape the hurtful crazy. I just hope that people can shed their tribal natures long enough to actually listen to the things the candidates say. I'm sure there are some sane Republicans out there, but the road leading up to this election hasn't shown me any.

On Fox News (...) he waved it off as having played jokes and pranks. Bullying, assault, is not a joke! (Edit: Correcting myself, it was his people who waved it off as having been jokes/pranks, not him himself.)

He's clearly still a bully too, and not just about gay rights. How else can you explain the way his company bought up and destroyed so many other companies, not to mention the workers' lives, just to line his pockets a little more?

I think you hit the nail on the head. If Mitt Romney was currently a spokesman in favor of gay rights, I don't think most people would hold his teenage years - or even early twenties - against him, whether or not he's in the running to be the president of the United States.

But when there's so much evidence that this immature state of mind hasn't been overcome, then yeah - that's a cause for (greater) concern.

You know, when we're old, I wonder what 'stick in the mud' attitude we're going to cling so stubbornly and against all logic to. There's probably going to be something that would be shocking to us now that the next generations will fight for... though maybe the internet has rendered us incapable of shock. X)

I worry it will be grammar. "Grandma Thistle, WHY do you HAVE TO spell everything right! It's EMBARRASSING!" I suspect that lolspeak/texting-typing will become the norm, even in workplace environments.

I've kinda been pulling for Obama the entire time. All the Republican candidates that kept being put out there seriously frightened me. Like gave me pause and made me think "oh god, what if this person is elected?". For a few reasons. I feel like if any of those people were elected, my life would be extremely difficult. I am a female and a minority. I already get profiled because you can't tell what race I am. I'm glad I got out of GA because I felt like I was going to have to start carrying my birth certificate around with me wherever I went. And then the women's rights issues started and.. it's just a horrid nightmare.

Gay rights is also a huge issue for me. I'm not gay myself, but I have enough friends who are (and beyond that not letting people do as the rest of us do is just wrong), so I am quick to take a stance against anyone that doesn't support it. I kept saying "well Mitt is the lesser evil" out of who else was in the running for his party, but now I'm just annoyed.

Yes. With each Republican option, I think women's rights would go back to the stone age. "oh god, what if this person is elected?" is my reaction to all of them, Romney included.

Same on gay rights. I'm not, but so what? I'm white, but that doesn't mean I don't care about the rights of other races.

On WoW achievements EACH achievement singularly must be accomplished by a single character, e.g. 25K honor kills. But a meta for getting BOTH 25K honor kills PLUS Winning WSG then if char 1 gets 25K and char2 wins WSG you get the meta. Make sense?

I poked through the thread about this. For the most part, yeah, but there are some exceptions. Luckily this is one of them. Blue post:

The other category are achievements that are just brutal to complete on one character (and you’d never want to do for multiples), such as 2500 daily quests or 250K honorable kills. In these cases, the cumulative work of all your characters on those criteria will count.

So hopefully 100K will count if 250K does...
