Eureka! And WoW

I love it when TV stations do marathons (or at least when it's not a show I hate). I have an odd history with Eureka though. When I catch random eps in the middle of the series, I love them. This was one good Sunday, ep after ep with so many stars from other scifi shows (BSG! SGU!). But, when I sat down to watch this show from the beginning, I couldn't get into it. I don't know why. Luckily I still have season one saved -- as much as I loved all the eps from today, I really really want to watch this show from beginning to end.

WoW: I spent most of the day PvPing. 1,300+/22,000 HKs! But more than that, I enjoyed it. Mostly. The BG chat is so god awful sometimes (someone named Fartstain mocked my name (Clove)...). It's nice once you start getting gear (and trinkets and fix your glyphs... I should look into enchants, too). During one fight, I heard a noise behind me, like someone swinging. But I was busy and couldn't move my camera to see what it was. Turns out some guy was beating on me from behind for minutes and my HP wasn't moving. I have no idea if he was just really bad or if I had healer love or what, but it was amusing.

I wish I had more of an idea what graphics in WoW looked like (or that WoW heals didn't have such violent-looking graphics). Half the time I want to move away from them. I suppose it will come in time and with exposure.

It's surprising how quickly I'm able to gear up. Today was only the third day of PvPing and I already have three purple honor-bought pieces plus a trinket.

It's really odd (and kind of fun) to care about gear. This is the very first time in Cata that I have. Other than an AH bought one, this is the first time I've had purples in this expansion. (Gear doesn't matter for playing the AH or doing archaeology.) Having a mini-goal while I go after the larger (HK) goal is pretty nice.

The vast majority of the time you do want to move away from stuff on the ground. The only healer things you'll see on the ground are healing rain, which looks like a big blue puddle, efluorescence, which is a green rune, and holy word: sanctuary, which is a golden rune. I'm not sure how any of those qualify as violent looking. o.0

Other stuff that goes on the ground that's by an enemy is supposed to have a reddish tint to it, but that's not always easy to see. If you didn't put it down and it's not a healer thing, I'd just move.

It's more the lines of light that go through multiple people. I've seen at least green and white so far, which I assume are bad and good respectively. I'm not sure if I saw a red one as well.

When it comes to colored things on the floor, Wrath taught me you always get out of anything on the floor, which now comes into conflict with Cata stuff. :P

Lines shooting through the air aren't damaging moves. They're healing and it's not like you can avoid them in most cases even if you tried. White just means holy (priests and pallies) and green is nature (druids and shamans). Neither is bad. :P
