Thistle status (RL, kitty, WoW, RP)

Back to work tomorrow, blah. I wish I had taken more days off post-cruise, but I was already using so many of them for that...

I also wish I wasn't still sick. During the day I'm somewhat okay (still coughing lots), but I haven't gotten more than a couple broken hours each night for the past while -- whenever I'm horizontal, my chest and throat fill up with stuff and I feel like I'm drowning. I'm not sure when/if I should go to the doctor. It's been about eight days of coughing/chest clogged. I don't feel sick at all, other than that (and low energy).

But that being said, I'm still SO SO SO HAPPY. Being home is such a joy. My desk. My chair. My TV (with real shows on it!). My bathroom is such a wonderful thing! (I didn't write about how TINY the shower on the cruise ship was.) I walk through my apartment and I'm just so happy.

I saw The Avengers yesterday and liked it a lot. I wish it had had more interaction and less action (the scenes with the guys just talking were my favorite ones, I could have done without all the battle scenes). I'm poking about at fics now, but haven't found anything I really like yet.

Ellie New Cat has 5 fewer teeth. She has a couple of viruses in her mouth and they're causing her teeth to become loose and rot. D: She's only two years old! Hopefully we can fix this before she loses any more. (And amusingly, fewer teeth do nothing to stop her efforts to steal things. She's such a bold thief! She tries to take the pen right out of my hand and items right next to me...)

I've not RPed in forever, so I pushed myself to try to find some tonight. I did, and it was good! Though apparently it was someone Thistle yelled at over how he dressed and I didn't OOCly remember it at all. Oops. I have to make more effort to get to SMC in the future. I really do like RPing, I just feel so lazy about finding it (and everything else).

I've spent most of my on-WoW time PvPing. I live in TB (or at least as much as the queue permits me to). Clove has 4,900 HKs now, of the 20K I need to hit 100K on my account. The problem is honor. As in, I have too much of it. I converted it to 4K of JP and bought a heirloom weapon I don't need (I have 10 85 alts!). I know you can trade honor for some items, but the rate per item is so bad I'd rather buy heirlooms I'll likely never need.

When I had the flu a few months back we bought the Vicks Nature Fusion cough syrup and that's the only reason I got through the night. That and occasionally Nyquil but that was an absolute last resort. Nyquil for me results in Hangover-like situations. Like I take it, don't feel remotely drowsy and wake up in my computer chair when I thought I was in bed. XD It's hilarious if not for the WTF of trying to figure out how I got there. XD I think I woke up in the night to get a drink, had no memory of it, and muscle memory was like "computerrrrr goooooo". XD

But the cough syrup taste-wise is not as unpleasant as usual and seemed to break up the crud pretty well. If not, you might want to get checked out and they'd probably prescribe you some kind of hardcore expectorant and it'd be over before you know it.

Also, you know what's weird as hell?

I looked at that cough syrup! I ended up going with Mucinex though, since I wasn't coughing much (until it builds up in my chest/throat too much). If my chest weren't congested, I wouldn't cough at all. Unfortunately it didn't help too much last night, I really need to get better! I'm nearly fine during the day...

Ha! Sleep surfing! :P

Poor Ellie. Are there any meds they can give her to help? Also, do cats get new teeth if they lose some?

Kidlet's Spot cat is a little thief too. She likes to steal my hair ties. I have caught her trying to tug them off my hair more then once. When she gets one she proudly marches it over to Kidlet and drops it at his feet with a happy chirrup. ...All our cats are weird.

No, I think they're like people: when their adult teeth are gone, they're gone.

She's on a med now for one of the viruses, but the other has no cure. The vet is hoping that fixing one will be good enough.

And ha! That sounds really cute, stealing hair ties while they're in use. Cats are so wacky. :D

It's A Small World After All!

Nai is playing Jecht on FFMUX now. He and I share the FFX cast channel together, so I've known him IC and OOC for weeks now.

I mentioned that my Diablo 3 gamertag was 'Peppy' in it, and he was like 'Peppy, Peppy... Where have I heard that name before?'

Why, from here of course! A funny coincidence that we both know you from different places (though we both owe you to us being on the MUX in the first place, so...). Pretty crazy, eh?
