Stray cat, WoW, TV

The Saga of the Stray Siamese Kitty is finally over for good. After a week and a half of not coming around, he showed up today, with a new collar and tag on. So either he was owned all along and just lost his collar, or someone took him in. I think the latter, since he wasn't starving this time (he turned up his nose at the dry food!) and looked better. I really, really wish whoever took him made him an indoor cat, but at least I can worry a little less now.

With him taken care of, I'm pondering getting a second cat/kitten. I really want one (I always want one!), but I watch Ellie run from one end of the apartment to the other and I think about how much more fun she might have with a second cat. (Or maybe she's like me and happy she's the only cat...) I wish there was a way to know for sure which she would like better.

TV is annoying me, or rather one show is. Sit Happens. A gameshow based on musical chairs. Seriously? Musical chairs? Watch the preview, the show looks like a bad joke.

WoW: Oh woe is my wallet. Two crimson deathchargers went up for 70K-80K each, so of course I snagged them. All the progress I made to recover from the last pair of horses is gone. I'm up to eight deathchargers now, which will be great IF I win this gamble. With mounts going account bound, TCG mounts have to go up in price, right? No one will need to buy a second one, but more people should want them since you will get more bang for your buck from them. This is the MoP gamble I feel the most sure about, but it's also my biggest one. I really hope I'm not wrong.

That is good news for stray kitty!

Ellie might do better if you adopt a kitten, instead of a full grown cat. A grown cat might seem too much like competition, but a kitten might bring out her maternal instincts. Our Miss Spot cat loves her adopted kitten Suzy. It would depend a lot on the personality of your cat though.

I'm thinking about a kitten, yep! It should be easier, I'd hope.

Maybe ask a local cat rescue organization if you can foster for them? Then you could see how Ellie reacts to other cats without it being permanent. Probably you can even explain to them that you're looking foster with an eye to getting her a sibling. :)

That's how I got my first cat. I loved her so much, I couldn't give her back!

That's a good idea though. Once I decide if I for sure want a second cat, I'll look into it. (I'm back to leaning towards no again. I swear, usually I can make decisions!)

You know, I agree with the way you're looking at the mounts for MoP coming up. But I also have a feeling that just because it's you the entirety of the player base will do the exact opposite. Just to mess it all up and then once you've moved them for substantially lowered prices thinking you'll never get rid of them they'll shoot up to 5,000% profit margin or something to that effect.

Ha ha ha, yes. Two more went up for 70K last night, but I have ten of them now! (I bought two when I made this post, then two more for 70K the next day.) I'm really worried that the supply of them is going to keep the prices lower. Where in the world are they all coming from?!

Edit: And don't tell me "When a mommy deathcharger and a daddy deathcharger love each other very much...". ;)

Well, when a Lich King loves a horse that died very much... he uses his unholy powers and raises it from the dead to serve by his side forever!

They are probably coming from people who went back through old content to get a Shadowmourne after they pretty much finished what they are likely to accomplish in Dragon Soul (since we are at that low between expansions).

Although this means in MoP more people will be able to get Shadowmourne with fewer people so more might pop up. But the increased demand with account wide mounts, plus you absorbing what has to be the majority of the supply, plus people focusing on MoP content/leveling alts (less people going after Shadowmourne) should mean there will still be a time where the prices should be decently high.
