86: The living do not make sense

There is an elf who asks me many questions. He does not use my name. His questions are not good ones. Tonight he asked me to list all things which go. I did not.

He told me my hat is not scary. He is wrong.

There were trolls near us. They were slaves. He told me they had broken spirits. I made him explain, but he did not make sense. He said they were afraid, but did not show fear.

Next time I will ask him what he does with his slaves.

Haken's black and white world makes me so happy.

Also, Greyspell feels it is good when one doesn't use the other's name.

I had the hardest time with this post until I put my finger on just why. I was going through all this effort to try to figure out how much weight the elf's opinion on the hat should be (the elf is a living thing: -1000, Haken knows the elf: +10...), then I realized I was going about it totally wrong and suddenly the post got written. Haken's brain, coded in nothing but binary.

The name thing was amusing. Finally Haken just asked him outright why he wasn't using his name (he called Haken 'Construct', which tickled me OOCly; he doesn't fully believe that Haken is a person), and the guy pointed out that he didn't know it, heehee.

Ironically, when it came time to write the post and I wanted to put the guy's name in the tags, I couldn't remember it!

There, now I think this comment is officially longer than the post itself. :P

Greyspell obviously agrees with the other elf in most respects, although he is still deciding on whether Haken is a person.

If Haken is a person, he deserves an apology for being spied upon, as that is stealing and incorrect behavior.

If he isn't, well, death knights are constructs of a king who wiped out the city.

I suspect Greyspell and that other elf would likely get along. They both had the same sort of feel to them.

If pressed, I suppose I'd say Haken is now a person. Not a good person, but a person. A year back, back when he first wandered free of the LK, I'd say not a person.

Haken, on the other hand, informs us all that he is a Knight.
