Welcome to Saturday night! This is the "Three things make a post" post, the around-the-world edition!

First, from America: Some random guy reviews the new Agent Coulson action figure, and the actor himself shows up. Clark Gregg arrives at about :45. (I think he was lured there by that Captain America figure...)

The second thing, out of Japan: Toilet candy! Add powder, add water, and once it starts foaming: Chow down! Luckily it's made in a toy toilet...

And lastly, the Chinese want to help women to not be raped. New for sale: Special hairy leg stockings. See?

Call me crazy, but I think the best way to prevent rape is to teach men not to be rapists. Not wear crazy hideous outfits.

Forgive me, but the bitter, angry, dark corner of my heart and soul says that you just can't teach some men not to be rapists, because first we would have to teach some men that women are *people* and that it is wrong to hurt *people* and that no, no one *owes* them *anything*. And that bitter, angry, dark corner of me says that some men just are not interested in learning anything because they see no reason to.

And those stockings wouldn't have even slowed down any of the rapists that I have known personally. (GOD, what a thing to say! What a thing to have be *true*!)

When I was in college, in the 80's (I'm old) a magazine did a study with college-age men, in which they asked men if they would, presuming no one would ever know, and they were pretty sure no one would "get hurt", and they would never face a jail sentence or even the police, would they ever rape someone. 9/10ths said yes, they would. Now. these guys self-selected (only people who responded to the anonymous questionnaire) and it was a small sample group (only a couple of thousand respondents) and it was a very long time ago, but contemplate how BIG a change has to take place, given that one tiny, little study. even the *question* is all wrong!

Yeah, I did consider pointing that out in the post, but I was aiming more for humor. Totally agreed though. (I also wanted to point out that rape isn't about how attractive you are, and that "ugly" or hairy women get raped, too.)

...considering this now, I'm thinking I was wrong to have seen humor in it at all.

I haven't found the toilet yet but I went to Nijiya yesterday and bought a bunch of fun similar candies (and I want to check Mitsuwa and Marukai to see if they have any other ones too).

I got 2 flavors of the Octopus drop jelly candy things (http://instagram.com/p/a7YSUsk8yL/ <-video) (http://instagram.com/p/a7ZUdtE8zc/ <-finished product), one of this strawberry stuff that's supposed to look like natto, a waffle cafe one and a dinosaur gummy one.
