A friend mentioned a site I never heard of, Movie4K ( http://movie4k.co.in ). On it you can stream first-run movies. She had watched all the academy award-nominated ones for this year, but my first movie was a "lower" target: Thor 2! (Edit: Heads up. The movies are streaming, so you need to give it time to buffer, otherwise the movie will pause every 10 seconds to do so.)

I'm a bad, bad fan, not having seen it yet. I'm glad I finally did though, I really enjoyed it! Even though I'm likely the last person on Earth to have seen it, I'll stick spoilers behind the cut.

Yeah, if anyone thought they'd really kill off Loki, I'd be very surprised. I knew there was no way he was really dead -- fan protest (and revenue) aside, it's just not in Loki's character to die that way.

What I did fall for was thinking that Loki really did betray Thor once his cuffs were off. I was even going to title this post "Thor 2: Leopards Don't Change Their Spots". I had a good laugh when I was mistaken!

All in all, a very fun movie! I'm really glad I finally saw it. The dark elf plotline did nothing for me, but I very much enjoyed all the Thor/Loki interactions. I still hate Darcy though, she's so incredibly annoying.

I had to google to find out about the mid-credit scene (about The Collector). I'm new to the Marvel world, almost all of my exposure is through the movies. I'm really, really, really not sure about this Guardians of the Galaxy storyline ("storyline"? World? Plot? Universe?). I would be more open about it if not for the raccoon character. I just cannot take it seriously:

Is it sad that I think the raccoon is the best part of that whole series? ;) His name is Rocket and he's a sarcastic ass who likes big guns and explosions. He's over the top and knows it.

But then I've been a fan of Rocket since his first comic appearance in the 80s, so I'm biased.

Sarcastic is good! I'm not sure he'll be able to win me over, but we'll see. :)

Oh, I'm it'll be awful, but hope springs eternal. :) Rather like they got Vin Diesil to play a role, and have been plastering that everywhere... when the guy he's voice acting for? Says only "I am Groot." So they can record him like three times and repeat those everywhere. :P

This will likely be a rental for me, but I still love Rocket.

Yeah, no way am I seeing it in the theater, but if it shows up somewhere online or I spot it for rental, I'll likely check it out.

I'd listen to him say anything over and over, personally. ;)

Rest assured, you're not the last person to have seen it. I haven't seen Thor 1 yet.

It's great having unlimited choice of what to watch when otherwise incapacitated.

I don't know what I'd have done these last four months. Survived, yes, because I used to do that Before. But this has made things more bearable.

Love, C.

No, not via that site, but Netflix and HBO - Go and other venues that aren't torrent sort of sites.

However we get our entertainment hits, that we get them, is what matters.

:)

Ah! I had wondered if I misunderstood. Netflix and such work well, too. I'm watching Netflix right now. :)
