Friending meme?

For some unknown reason, in the last week the number of posts on my friends list has dropped by nearly half. It's a depressing change! I'd like to find some new people to friend, so if anyone has seen a recent friending meme going around, would you link me?

To flesh out this post a bit, here's a blast from the past video.

The video was created to demonstrate some new game engine, but it's a really great (sad!) stand-alone movie.

Consider watching a Let's Play of Heavy Rain. It was a good game - a bit glitchy ("JASON! JASON! JASON! JASON!") but a solid story. The game is more of an interactive movie than a game really.

Thanks, I'll check it out! I used to say that I'd happily pay to watch someone else play a game, so when Let's Play became a thing, I jumped all over it.

LJ always gets quieter in the summer months. I don't know of any current friending memes, but there are tons of "add me" communities on LJ where people look for more friends to add, either by reading the community or posting there themselves. I've met lots of great people in the ones I'm a member of, but there are many other ones out there. The bonus is that people who are actually active on LJ usually post in them.

After I posted this, I noticed that one of the very very active comms (fandom secrets) had a lot less comments than usual. I guess it is the summer thing!

The two voiceover guys make me want to throw them out a window, but the game looked great so I went to Youtube and found a different Let's Play to watch. Really enjoying it, so thanks for the pointer to it!

I've noticed the same thing in the drop in post numbers. Maybe ashmedai is right about it being summer.

Yeah. Usually I get 50+ new posts a day, now I'm getting about 25. Way, way too few!
