I actually called in sick today. I was up sick all night (food poisoning? in the bathroom much more than in bed), and so about 5 AM this morning, between trips, I said to myself:

You know, normal people call in sick when they're sick...

So I did! I still feel guilty, but I also still feel sick as a dog, so the guilt is a little less than it might otherwise be. I blame/thank tersa and evilgrayson for putting the idea in my head that I could actually, maybe, take sick days.

My average is now two sick days in two years. Not too too bad...

When one is that sick, one should stay home and recover. And, if it wasn't food poisoning, you don't want to spread your sick germs to everyone else in your office, thereby making them have to take *more* sick days. :)
