I was good and updated my page for all my HP 100 stories. I was behind by quite a bit.

For some reason, I'm lacking in concentration and can't keep my mind on reading fics... so I wrote one! For the hp100 challenge on the Sorting Hat, it's:


Title: The Day The Sorting Hat Vanished
House: Slytherin
Word Count: 111... or 132 (See note below story.)
Characters: The hat, various professors, and Dumbledore.

The hat's voice floated through Hogwarts:
"Gone-I-am!"
"Gone-I-am!"

McGonagall:
"Do you like that 'Gone-I-am'?
I do not like it, ma'am-I-am!"

Dumbledore:
"Did you give it to Madam Hooch?
Did you feed it to a pooch?"

Snape:
"I did not give it to Madam Hooch,
I did not feed it to a pooch!"

Lockhart:
"Did you put it in a box?
Did you transfigure it into lox?"

Snape:
"Not in a box!
Not into lox!
Not to Madam Hooch!
Not to a pooch!
I do like this 'Gone-I-am',
I do like it, Snape-I-am!"

With a wave of his wand, Snape put a hex on them all. The hat was never mentioned again.

Note: For some reason, Word counted hyphenated things (Gone-I-am, Snape-I-am) as one word (giving 111 as a total). If I was counting by hand, I would have counted them as three each (132 total). So, since there was already disagreement on the total, and because the format didn't really allow for snipping and tightening, I'm sending it long. Bah, no points for us on this one. :)

This reminds me. I did write a second actual story (not one of these 100 word thingies), but after writing the rough draft I never read it even once. Heck, I've never gone back and read that other story I submitted for the writing challenge, either. The reasoning is the same on both of them: I'm afraid if I go back and read them now, with fresher eyes, I will see that they suck. Ignoring them is a whole lot easier. (Yes, you can go ahead and make chicken-noises at me now.)

Hi. I'm afraid that this doesn't have anything to do with your post. :P I'm looking for Iron Jenny and since you're on her friends list... She hasn't logged into one place for months and I haven't revived a response to any of the emails I sent in her direction.
